Assault Squad

“The spear-tip is sharpened!”

Assault Squads are composed of heavily armored Astartes equipped with close-combat weapons and jump packs, allowing them to descend on the enemy from above in a devastating assault, scattering foes on the ground and setting upon them with chainswords.

Jump

Soar through the air and land at the target location, dealing weapon knockback to enemies in radius 7. Squad is immune to suppression and receives 90% less ranged damage while airborne. Assault Marines cannot be knocked back for 5 seconds after beginning the jump. Minimum Range 15, Maximum Range 50, Cooldown 1 second.

Melta Bomb
40

Throw a melta bomb at an enemy vehicle or monstrous creature. Melta bombs do 200 melta damage and reduce the target's speed and rotation rate by 60% for 15 seconds. Range 20, Cooldown 48 seconds.

Blind Grenade
25

Blinds all enemy infantry and turrets in a radius 4.5, reducing sight radius and weapon range of units affected by 75% for 10 seconds. Range 25, Cooldown 40 seconds.

Merciless Strike
30

Lash out in the specified direction with an explosive strike dealing 20 piercing damage and weapon knockback in radius 5 along a line of length 12.5. Cooldown 40 seconds.

Thunder and Lightning  | T2

Equip the Assault Squad with melta bombs and blind grenades. Melta bombs deal 200 melta damage and reduce the targeted vehicle's speed by 60%. Blind grenades decrease sight radius and weapon range of units affected by 75%.

Sergeant  | T2

Adds a Sergeant to lead the squad. The Sergeant has 400 health and wields a power sword (30.77 power melee DPS) especially effective against heavy infantry, making him a deadly melee specialist. Also grants the Merciless Strike ability, allowing the Sergeant to deal weapon knockback in radius 5 along a line of length 12.5.

Vanguard Veteran Squad  | T3

Replace the squad with Vanguard Veterans, elite melee infantry unsurpassed at close combat. 500 hp, 1.5 health regen. (increased to 2.5 when fighting). 2 x 30.77 / 40 / 45 power melee DPS, 2 x 7.3 piercing DPS, 7.82 plasma DPS.
