Doom bolts - no skill button

issue: to much damage. 'easy to spawn' ability.

resolution: reduce damage, or introduce fo CS new T1 gear with doom bolts and remove it ability from stock hero.

But seriously yes, ive been saying it since long ago, same with banishment, only Einstein himself Could've come up with the brilliant idea of giving tac squads smite. it's pretty fun to instantly delete a guardsmen squad with a commisar with 2 banishment's though, if you get the libby and have 3 smites on tap its even more hilarious.

The community threw a shitfit back in 2.4/5 when warlocks destructor could wipe 75% health off tics at its best rng roll, it was nerfed for that very reason & mu, even though tics were pretty much the only thing destructor could hurt that severely. Doombolts being plasma damage literally hurt everything, it can reduce a tac sm squad from 100% hp to 40% hp in one volley, almost delete a dev squad, and literally deletes a full health tic squad, and instantly reloads, i think when me and corn tested you could throw 4 doombolts in the same time warlock gets 1 destructor off cooldown.

But hey, just dodge it or press X instantly losing the engagement, thats the counter-play

Personally, I'm not fine with the very short cooldown it has.
It's just insane with consume.

Yeah, fuck Chains of Torment. Mass retreat or killing the Sorceror is your best option because the core takes too long to take down as FC. FC and ASM's won't be doing anything due to Chains and then your Tac - 2 Scouts- Libby don't have enough ranged dps to focus core. Don't have much of an issue with Doombolts though.

play some games against warboss, warlock, a good nid player (LUL) apo or LC then come back and say that doombolts are op
sorceror is absolute garbage like chaos lord, having to rely on such a trash ability that fails most of the time like doombolts isn't viable, l2p

how should we buff doombolts then, as its such a trash ability? perhaps more damage? what about even less of a cooldown?

All this crying over doombolts makes me laugh, Sorcerer relies heavily on the damage of them to even be viable for the whole of t1 to t2 otherwise why would you even play him then other than to use his globals.

Btw bruce doing plasma damage makes them less good vs infantry they only do about 70% of there damage to them, plasma damage is not good vs everything.

btw doombolts can be interrupted by any shotgun blast, rites, apo bolter or other fast kb/stun effects, like sorc shots 1-2 instead of 6

Considering less is a comparative word, what exactly was you comparing it to? are doombolts ''less good'' vs infantry than say vehicles? are doombolts some kind of AV weapon i wasnt aware of? its just that you come across as if you are saying doombolts are shit vs infantry, when thats the only thing its good against, and pretty much all types. Obviously videos of doombolts almost straight up deleting a dev squad is still shitty in your eyes.

Sorc himself (not chaos) was always like Eldar imo, most peoples opinion of Eldar is that they are OP at high levels, but mediocre at any other skill level, ive always seen sorc as the same, hes been meh because for a long time nobody was even playing him, especially noone at a high level, now theres a fair few high level players playing sorc who are well practiced at throwing doombolts and when you are well practiced at recharging and throwing doom bolts you see how much it can dominate every engagement.

Im definitely not going to sit here listing all the other things sorc is good at but if you think doombolts are the only thing that make him good, you obviously arent the guru of the game you think you are.

There are two people who have posted in this thread who are massively guilty of thinking units / races are absolutely fine, until they've been absolutely shitstomped themselves by it, completely incapable of observing other games and coming to conclusions, it needs to be demonstrated in front of their faces, so we'll wait for that to happen before they join the bandwagon

I don't think any chaos hero is weak and I certainly think PC is easier to play because he's more straightforward, being ranged and with a healing worship, and CL is also more noob-friendly since what could go wrong if your hero is anti-melee and weapon_kb+suppression immune.

CS falls into the harder-to-play category. That certainly doesn't mean he's bad. In fact people saying that Sorcerer is garbage are sounding like "brightlance is bad because it doesn't snare".
