Hate to admit it, but Relic's old staff is gone . Current crew of the relic entertainment has proven to be a group of unexperienced youngsters
Unless they bring back the crew they had a few years back when THQ was still there (about 2010-2012) i very much doubt that we would see sth good

I loved AoE2, but the fact that Relic will start to work on AoE4 makes me wonder if they will be able to polish and fix dow3.

Think it is the perfect time to get back to dow2.

It most definitely is the perfect time for a return to DoW2.

How did Relic acquire the rights for the development anyway? They should be super broke now that DoW3 was a complete disaster. Keep in mind that they completely fail to balance 3 races. How will they deal with their future addition of a 4th racein DoW3? How many factions did AoE2 use to have? 13. That's right, f**king 13.

Most of the AoE races aren't as diverse as the races in DoW 3 though and iirc it was Microsoft that joined up with Sega to make AoE 4. Meaning Microsoft is going to fund the project and control the actual development, while Relic develops the game. Sega will prolly get certain amount of money for next to no risk on their end.

Relic getting to make an RTS game for Microsoft is probably part of an agreement now that they're apparently in talks about working together on Xbox-PS Crossplay. Wouldn't be surprised if Sony got a pretty decent cut since they're in the better bargaining position in terms of console sales.
