Show me your miniatures!
Show me your miniatures!
I had a birthday recently and got an awesome gift:
Few more pics here
For those not up on their Primarchs, it's Mortarion of the Death Guard painted by a pro studio (TheMiniatureWorkshop). It's a ForgeWorld model, after he turned traitor but before he became a Daemon Prince. I don't play TT and it's only the second one I have, but I love the miniatures especially seeing them painted. Any TT players have any models to show?

Re: Show me your miniatures!
I have plenty of models.
Good pictures of them? No.
Well painted models? No. :]
Very nicely painted, I was wondering if you'd painted it then I read the bottom text.

The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

I haven't yet a full photo of my entire army. I'll post a few.
There a few thing more, but you get the style.

I've quit the game for a couple of years now but still have my dinosaur-themed Space Marines lying about. Pics of them in their glory days:

That's some serious stuff, hiveminion.
Why didn't I ever seen those on /tg/ or other places?
I feel like it's something i should have seen somewhere.

Holly Terra, Riku, what an army! I wont be surprised if you have some Emperor class Titan in your kitchen.
Mortarion is epic though.

No Titans, I have 3 Imperial Knights though. A friend of mine has a warhound Scout Titan and another one a Manta.
This is a piece of my collection An older more "friendly" armylist I no longer use.

Re: Show me your miniatures!
Just out of interest:
- How long did it take you guys to collect that many models? I've heard it's not cheap, are they insured?
- The paint jobs are amazing! Did you find it hard/time-consuming?
Sorry if these questions are rather mundane!

Is this dinosaur I dug up (the top model) supposed to be ridden by a space marine? I always assumed it was an eldar exodite mount.

Re: Show me your miniatures!
Those are old Rogue trader era models, so all the lore for them has been rewritten, but considering what the game was like then it's entirely possible that Space Marines rode them.

For me the whole miniature thingy started back in the early 90s with Heroquest and Space Crusade, it was back then that I started collecting miniatures. So yeah took some time.
And yes the painting is hard at first, gets easier overtime, but it still is time consuming (atleast for me that is)

Re: Show me your miniatures!
Painting standard (and you should do so in the beginning to learn the technique) is indeed time-consuming, but with airbrushes the time of painting stuff has been cut down a lot.
For people whom care for speed (likely IG players, Orks or Swarm Tyranids) there are things like dipping, that drastically reduce the time even more with some decent results.

Re: Show me your miniatures!
I find the lack and eldar and dark eldar minatures ... disturbing.
Re: Show me your miniatures!
I'll see if I can get any pictures, I do have some shoddily done Eldar (of both kinds).

Thread resurrected.
Finally "finished" (for now) my Warhammer 40k display:

A semi-random collection of miniatures I thought were cool.

Re: Show me your miniatures!
Did you paint those yourself, Indrid?

Re: Show me your miniatures!
No. Woulda been finished maybe some time in 2020 if I did!
They are collected from pro studios or talented hobbyists. I do wanna start painting myself though, seems like fun.
