Yeall all done can upload it later but might be hard to texture due to the main chainsaw blade being a mirrored model (if you know what I mean)

Dont worry, dont plan to do rocket science with it, just a few fresh pixels here and there.

OK i managed to sort this out:
TacSarge helmet appears on FC in the painter because Tarkus head is now there. Ingame it uses own unique helmet given by the mod. On a second assumption thats Angelos and what's given to Tarkus overlapped with his head too ? anyways ill find something else.
The scout sarge head i was using didnt appear because scout sarge got that hooded head as its new default.
FC helmet i intended to use is appearing on TacSarge since Diomedes head has been moved to there.
The ruined colors on 'Mark of' infantry and chaos termies was because, being new models they didnt have an alternate coloring applied to them as defined in TCmod. Simply removing it fixed but here you can see why its important:
The black weapons i kept getting was because being new or improved models(?) they didnt get colored by the Woa(chaos-)bolters(/boltpistol)TC. Simply removing it fixed.
Now the only things i need are Elite Tarkus for Fc so it appears on Tacsarge, an helmet for Raptor Champ, inq's hat. Oh thats right i have yet to test GK.

Also i am in need of a complete changelog because i feel there is a conflict with tooltip mod. Fe. The 'For the Emperor' ability used to give 25% resist to melee, did it got removed or its just the tooltip not showing it again ?
I noticed troops near bases gain a blue aura what does, its dmg resist or secondary pulse-heal ?

WhirlWind is black because of missing mipmaps for lower graphics options.

Hopefully anyone here can help me out with a problem here.
No matter what I try, the textures on the hood end up completely messed up.
Super pale, shiny and unclean. And I guess it has something to do with the lighting/shader? (dow_unit)
Because if I pick the "world_object"-shader they turn out like this. But thats no solution outside the model editor, because that shader is basically just for static world objects.
I dont expect an answer, but if anyone got any idea how to fix this, or where to search for a solution I'd be thankful.

I suppose you want to make the hood appear as if made out of the same material as the sleeves. In that case I'd check if there are other textures used on the hood as well. From what you wrote I'd suspect the specular and dirt texture are messing things up. If team colors are pale try putting full color in the team texture if overlaying it isn't enough.
For testing purposes I'd also recommend turning off all the textures you aren't currently working on.

You're my hero of the day.
The problem was the dirt map. Thought it was empty / plain white, but there was still stuff left on the alpha channel.

Hopefully I'll get back to work next month and finally be able to finish all the stuff I've had in mind. Perhaps we could even work on something together at some point.

This takes so much longer than expected, but I'm almost there I think.

Think sterling and I took inspiration from stuff like Necromunda Redemptionists, and concept art for 40k Dark Millenium.

Whoa nice work, that looks really good now.
I think possibly if you put some Inquisition insignia on the hood and belt like the pic Caeltos put up would look good - and possibly a gold trim on the gauntlets too.
Anyhow here's the Eviscerator for when you're ready to have a tinker with that too.

If you upload them both when done I'll add some scrolls to the belt in place of the hook and chain and get them animated nicely.

Hood is going to be tricky, because the model is streched that much I dont think I can texture it on. But maybe I can add a decal, it would still be streched quite a bit, but I*ll give it another try.
The gloves / bracers are not quite done yet. Adding some gold for the rare and epic set is something I want to add, when I find the engery.
Anyhow here's the Eviscerator for when you're ready to have a tinker with that too.

if you pull the top vertex down a bit it would look more like cloth and less like a hard surface.
also, you can put a a couple of planes on top of the hood, wrapping around slightly, and put stuff on that. it would have to be nearly touching but not quite. also, given the angle of the camera in dow2, tilting it up slightly would probably help.

Well, I have no idea what that means, but I'll take any bit of advice to make it look cloth-ier.

Dont think thats something I can do. My capabilites are restricted to texture work for the most part. I can remove 3D stuff, but not so much add it in this case. :/

I managed to add a WiP one. The actual decal is very squished, but the model streches it back into normal proportions.
Maybe the Decal one could be used for the "common" and "rare" acolytes and the actual modeled symbol for the "epic" ones?
