agreed, sm generator drops shouldnt be heard by the opposing player, gives way too much information

Agreed about Generators! That always struck me as odd that you could hear the amount of gens your opponent drops if you listen carefully.
That is not even an "you should be rewarded for listening closely" issue as this is indeed not standardized behavior and hits some races but not others.
I think the audible range of the Scouts and Rangers voicelines should be lowered to compensate. You can infiltrate behind your lines and THEN approach the enemy. Anything on top should trigger a discussion how much energy we want Scouts and Rangers to have when they infiltrate since that is directly correlated to where you start infiltrating.
As an Eldar main I say this: Fuck Eldar generator hitboxes and the developer that conceived them!
Concerning the Plasmacannon:
Isn't it part of their balancing that you can hear them and thus have the opportunity to evade their shots? Would still be a guessing game because you don't know where the blue ball of death is going to land.
