General:
Main Menu banner and end of game scoreboard changed from 2.9.6 to 2.9.7.
Units can no longer manually melee most structures.
Juggernaut, hive tyrant, and most terminator units no longer take cover.
Bugfixes
Requisition point resource reset bug fixed.
Repair abilities can now be used on vehicles with less than 0.1 health. (0.001 hp)
Genestealer healing visuals fixed.
Cultist worship bug fixed.
Tzeentch Shrine bug fixed.
Shotgun blast reliability fix.
Flesh hook reliability fix.
Emperor’s Torch is now refundable.
Banishing cloak is now refundable.
Tempest will now gib/ragdoll models.
Tooltips:
Ist Frag grenades renamed to Instant Grenade.
Lord General Tooltip mentions that the damage resistance is ranged damage. (not flat damage)
Sorcerer Consume tooltip fixed (100 hp -> 15% health restored)
Mentions the range increase from Vanquisher upgrade.
Mentions the range reduction from Executioner upgrade.
Spotter Mortar Shell ability now mentions that it’s effective in radius 10.
Ranged Synapse upgrade now mentions that it only affects Termagants and Raveners.
Harness of Rage now mentions that the energy bonus affects the Chaos Lord.
Holy Pyre ability tooltip now states that it does flat damage.
Assault Leap no longer mentions that it deals damage.

Combi Flamer cost increased from 100/30 to 120/30.

Harness of Rage cost increased from 110/20 to 110/25.
Dark Halo cost reduced from 120/30 to 100/25.
Icon of Khorne heal per hit increased from 1.5% to 2%.
Chaos Sorceror:
Consume cooldown increased from 20 seconds to 25 seconds.
Curse of Tzeentch range increased from 40 to 50.
Chaos Heretics:
Aspiring Champion now equips an 11.08 dps(19 dph) boltgun when the squad is equipped with Grenade Launchers. (Fist damage set to 22 dps)
Eldar
Warlock:
Warlock no longer gets charge speed after the leap.
Merciless Witchblade ranged damage per hit reduced from 40 to 25.
Champion’s Robe health bonus reduced from 150 to 125.
Farseer:
Spiritual rites cooldown increased from 45 seconds to 60 seconds.
Guardians:
Battle Equipment cost increased from 65/15 to 75/15.
Embolden energy cost increased from 25 to 35.
Embolden duration reduced from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
Rangers:
Purchase time reduced from 32 seconds to 30 seconds.
Sight radius reduced from 60 to 55.
Keen sight radius increased from 30 to 40.
Longrifles no long inflict courage damage upon hit.
Longrifle range reduced from 65 to 60.
Imperial Guard
Global:
Bunker cooldown increased from 15 seconds to 60 seconds.
Lord General:
Grenade Launchers cost increased from 90/20 to 100/20.
Retinue reinforce time increased from 11 seconds to 15 seconds.
Power Sword damage per hit reduced from 18 to 12.
Lord Commissar:
Off Map Artillery cooldown reduced from 120 seconds to 90 seconds.
Inquisitor:
Crossbow Bolt Pistol fire on the move accuracy increased from 0.5 to 1.0.
Crippling Volley energy cost increased from 45 to 55.
Sentinel:
Spotlight no longer displays when purchased.
Spotlight cost reduced from 50/15 to 50/10.
Catachan Devils:
IED energy cost increased from 40 to 60.
Ogryns:
Bone 'ead cost reduced from 100/25 to 80/25.
Stormtroopers:
Storm Trooper Leader model reinforce time reduced from 5 to 4. (normalization change)
Assault Kit cost increased from 75/0 to 75/15.
Kasrkin:
Received some visual changes.
Plasma gun burst duration added, 2 seconds, RoF 4, damage reduced from 48 to 43.75 (same dps)
Ordo Malleus
Brother-Captain:
Holy Armor of Titan health bonus reduced from 350 to 250.
Holy Armor of Titan health regen reduced from 3 to 2.5.
Unending purge ranged heal on hit reduced from 1.15% to 0.5%.
Unending Purge energy regen reduced from 1 e/s to 0.5 e/s.
Eversor Assassin:
Extra Death damage with Meltdown now requires a 6 second activation time.
Assault Armor health regen bonus reduced from 2.5 to 2.
Cybernetic Enhancement cost reduced from 100/30 to 100/25.
Rapid Reflex now has a clearer healing visual.
Rapid Reflex healing now applies in 2 second bursts. (same hp amount, different frequency)
Chem Cloud grenades no longer reduce melee skill by 10. Other effects remain.
Onslaught injectors speed now scales per Tier level. (0,25 T1 0,5 T2 0.75 T3)
Executioner pistol damage per hit reduced from 50 to 45.
Daemonhunter:
Sundering now also reduces melee damage received by Deamonhunter by 20% in addition to its other effects.
Indomitable cooldown increased from 30 seconds to 35 seconds.
Indomitable energy cost increased from 40 to 50.
Emperor's Torch energy regen increased from 0.2 e/s to 0.5e/s.
Hunter’s Blade now increases energy by 25 in addition to its other effects.
Operatives:
Fallback plan health regen reduced from 10 hp/s to 5 hp/s.
Shotgun damage per hit reduced from 22 to 19.
Sergeant cost reduced from 85/25 to 75/25.
Purgation Squad:
Sweep changed from none to in to out.
Crusaders:
Squad is now available in T1.
Cost changed from 350/40/150 to 350/30/125.
Purchase and reinforcement times adjusted to match Catachan squad.
(5.6 seconds purchase time, 4.2 seconds reinforce)
Battle Frenzy now requires T2 to activate.
Rhino:
Lascannon damage type changed from anti_vehicle_pvp to brightlance_pvp.
Grey Knight Dreadnought:
Plasma Cannon now increases melee skill by 30 in addition to its other effects.
Orks
Warboss:
Cybork Implants now increase health regen by 0.5 hp/s in addition to its other effects.
Kustom Shoota no longer increases melee damage while equipped.
Mekboy:
Electric Armor now deals 25% less damage to units in retreat.
Turret salvage resource return reduced from 75% to 30%.
Shootas:
Shoota Nob level 4 ranged damage bonus reduced from 1.3 to 1.16
Stormboys:
Nob health at level 3 reduced from 532 to 433.
Nob health at level 4 increased from 433 to 532.
Bomba Boyz effect radius reduced from 15 to 12.
Space Marines
Force Commander:
Flesh over Steel energy cost reduced from 70 to 60.
Apothecary:
Purification Rites damage on heal reduced from 25 to 20.
Purification Rites damage scaling per level reduced from 3 to 2.
Angels of death no longer prevents ability knockback. Other effects remain.
Techmarine:
Teleport Relay Beacon moved to T1 cost changed from 200/25 to 200/30/75.
Relay Beacon health reduced from 750 hp to 500 hp, regen set from 0.35 to 0.25.
Scouts:
Sniper Scouts reinforce power cost reduced from 6 to 3.
Devastators:
Vengeance Rounds no longer increases range during its duration.
Vengeance Rounds damage multiplier vs vehicles reduced from x10 to x7.5.
Vengeance Rounds damage increase reduced from 75% to 65%.
Tyranids
Global:
Infestation Towers red yield increased from 6 to 10.
Hive Tyrant:
Brood Nest cooldown increased from 30 seconds to 50 seconds.
Brood Nest red cost increased from 125 to 150.
Rending Talons cost increased from 120/20 to 120/25.
Extended Carapace health regen bonus increased from 0.5 hp/s to 1.0 hp/s.
Bioplasma damage over time damage type changed from plasma_cannon_pvp to flame_aoe_ability_pvp.
Improved Synapse now grants the Hive Tyrant 1.5 hp/s regen in addition to its other effects.
Bonded Exoskeleton hp regen increased from 0.5 hp/s to 1.5 hp/s.
Psychic Shield cost reduced from 120/30 to 100/25.
Ravener Alpha:
Crippling Talon cost increased from 100/20 to 120/25.
Burrow Trap energy cost reduced from 40 to 35.
Ravener Alpha can now move immediately after planting a Burrow Trap.
Toxic Miasma health increase reduced from 100 to 50.
Corrosive Devourer cost reduced from 150/50 to 145/45.
Lictor Alpha:
Toxic Miasma damage over time changed from “true damage” to piercing damage.
Toxic Miasma damage over time can now only apply to enemy infantry.
Toxic Cysts cost increased from 100/20 to 120/25
Deadly Jump range increased from 45 to 50.
Termagants:
Toxin Sacs cost increased from 65/15 to 75/15.
Zoanthrope:
Passive hp regen scaling adjusted per level from 3.5/5.25/7.875/11.8125 to 3.5/4.2/5.04/6.05.
Lictor:
Cost reduced from 400/75 to 400/65.
Carnifex:
Venom Cannon cost increased from 100/25 to 125/30.
Bio Plasma damage reduced from 200 to 150.
Hey guys it has been a while since we had our last patch so here we go with 2.9.7, this is gonna mostly adress some weird bugs and adress some of the balance issues that currently exist, while also buffing up some of the less used wargears.

Note: This is a full installer. You don't need any other version of Elite to install 2.9.7.
You ONLY need to have Retribution!
Note 2: If you have army painter schemes you don't want to be wiped, find the playercfg.lua file in your Documents\My Games\dawn of war ii - retribution\Settings folder and make a copy of it so you can add it back in.
