You may have noticed I made a new army XP system on ESL as a side-thought feature. It works by adding up the actual in-game time spent in logged games (this will also include non-ranked games) which may involve multipliers depending on win/loss, ranked/unranked, or 1v1/2v2/3v3. There are 10 levels with names/icons and the initial setting was to reach maximum rank after about 1000 average-length games (250 hours) of game time with one faction.
So the question is: Do you think this is appropriate? Around 1000 games to "master" a faction so you have seen all there is to see? Too slow, too fast, just right?
You may also state your opinions on the relative XP value of winning, ranked, 1v1, etc.
And if you have fluff ideas about the ranks, good icons, or such, we can include it in the discussion.
ESL parameters - army XP
Re: ESL parameters - army XP
The overzealousness of our devs/brocoders is real.
Re: ESL parameters - army XP
This is all so good. I can't believe this all happened while I was gone. Lulgrim I really appreciate all of it you know. When I saw this little feature I got so giddy. It's so fucking meaningless lmao but I love it nonetheless.
Lets make Ordo Malleus great again!
Re: ESL parameters - army XP
It's a cool feature, but I feel it moves too slow. 250 hours for a single faction? Sounds a bit steep imo :/
Re: ESL parameters - army XP
I also feel that 250 hours is a bit steep.
and I'm still eagerly waiting for the 3v3 ladder

Re: ESL parameters - army XP
Nah it needs to be harder than the in-game one that's the point. It's really good I think. I wish it was easier to see too when looking at someone's profile via the ESL too though.
Lets make Ordo Malleus great again!
