IG Bunkers vs. Anti garrison weapons.

Just played two games where an IG built a bunker. After hitting it with several barbed strangler shots it seemed as though not a single heavy weapon squad died. Is this intentional? bug? I also watched a team mate hit the bunker with some zoan shots, which damaged the bunker, but didn't seem to damage the squad inside.

I've also noticed that using the Tyrants bio plasma ability, an ability with a grenade icon, that it does not seem to do adequate damage to a garrison.

What exactly are the Tyranid anti garrison options supposed to be?

Also is the IG bunker currently bugged? Has anyone else noticed this?

There's no bug. Zoans are not anti-garrison. Your barbed strangler is a garrison counter but no it doesn't just instantly kill models, just does a good chunk of damage.

Spore mines are the ideal choice though, they will destroy a HWT in it in about 2 eruptions.

Psychic weapons ignore cover and garrisons so yea they are ok if you hit the guys with them but you don't get more damage for it like the barbed strangler or spore mines.

Barbed is an AoE weapon. It does damage to all things that it hits equally. Just barbed alone is not enough to take out models, it will keep damaging every model insade untill the models die, which takes a while with Barbed alone. If it is a medical bunker, it also provides health regen insade of bunker, making it much harder to deal with it.

Grenade icon on heroes mean ''This guy has some kind of an AoE ability, be careful''. Robes of Torment, Bitchblade of Kurnous, Armor of the Inferno, toxic fart wargears of Lictor and Ravaner Alpha, etc also has grenade icons.

And don't worry about Zoans. If you kill the building, it will also destroy the squad insade of it so it is a much better result. ;) But, it is still weird for me. If Zoan does AoE damage, why it doesn't damage units insade bunker?
