Looking to get back into DoW2, help me out pls

Postby Dex_33 » Mon 27 May, 2019 11:32 pm

Hello everyone, I played Dow2 since the original game beta back in 2009. When it was released and during the expansions that followed I clocked around 1700 hours on record, back in the day this was pretty much the only game I played for around 3 years or so. I can't honestly remember the exact moment I stopped playing or the reasons why, life went on, I don't play games that much these days, but I came across Indrid's videos randomly and I really want to play again. No clue where to start other than installing Retribution and the Elite mod. Any tips or helpful info to get me going is appreciated, thank you.

Depending on where you live, you may have trouble finding players to play with.
1. Play during European evenings.
2. Most players are online on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
3. More players are online during June, July, January and February. Months with least number of players available are May and November.
4. Find players to play with at our official discords. Here you mention that you have a room hosted to draw in players.

https://discord.gg/zbYyA7m - looking-to-play channel
5. Add everyone you see online in Elite Mod as your steam friend. This is very important. Waiting for games to be posted or waiting not doing anything after hosting a room is the worst thing you can do for finding games. With a built up friend list of players you see online on Elite Mod, you can get games going when you want.
