The T3 Lictor flesh hook almost never works for me

I've been playing nids in 1v1 recently and have purchased a lictor in several games. It seems like more often than not his flesh hook does not work at all. Is there a way around this or is it just a fact of life for playing nids?

I think it's just one of those weird bugs in the game. It's happened a lot for me as well.

I will say that the T3 Lictor seems to be more reliable than the LA, but maybe that's just because I use the ability of the T3L less often.

It seems to work better if the lictor is closer to the target than max range and if it's already standing still when you issue the command. But I have no idea if there's any reliable answer. Would be awesome if there is!

Hmm, I can take a guess at what's happening but not entirely sure. What are the circumstances when the ability fails to fire off?

Can't speak for Oddnerd's experience, but for me it seems to be the exact same as when other abilities bug out like Hammer of Witches or Ol'Unreliable

The lictor flesh hook animation appears to start but then stops midway, or the animation never occurs. However, the flesh hooks don't come out and the target isn't pulled or damaged. The lictor's energy is still drained and the ability goes on cooldown.

Happens most frequently for me at max range or when the target is moving, but seems kind of random. Sometimes it works like a charm whether from max range, moving, dipping from around cover or anything. Other times it'll bug out a few times and be fine and still other times it never seems to work for the whole game.

Telos' described it exactly. It is a lot like shotgun blast bugging out, where the model stands there like a jackass waiting for it to happen, but the energy drains and no hook appears.

For fleshhook and other animation dependant abilities, it is best to get into range and then cast, rather than making the unit move into range with the command.

Upon further testing, it seem that the first flash hook is the one that tends to bug out. Anyone else notice this?

At least GUO fleshlight tends to work better if you use stop command before casting it and casting it only when you are in radius.

It's always been the first one the most buggy.
