ORKS DAMAGE MITIGATION BUFFS/DEBUFFS

I was wondering how different sources of damage reduction buffs/debuffs in the ork roster interact with each other such as trophy rack, warpath, ard boys etc. Like do some of them stack or the highest value takes priority over the rest? One example could be sluggas with ard boys buff around a warboss with trophy rack and a weirdboy with warpath on.

They all stack. The question is do they stack multiplicatively or additively. I'm not sure.

More likely to be multiplicatively otherwise you can achieve crazy percentage of damage reduction. For example squad with supa tuff beam and warpath gives 100% damage reduction if stacked additively

Sounds like an easy enough to lab example. Thing is other races do have additive benefits though - DA exarch ranged resist + retreat bonus. Autarch + seers + distort field + fleet on shees... All stack additively with one another.

Multiplicative stacking has big issues as well though...

See previous patch conversations centered around the painboy healing combined with angry bitz regen.

Trophy, warpath and 'ard boys all synergise. In fact Trophy synergises with itself (ard boys as well), crazy but that's team games there are lots of combos not just for orks though they're probably at the top (warboss at least).

Most stack, plenty don't (eg swift movement and fof) and yes the better value should take priority. Sadly this stuff isn't clear either in the game or even the codex. You'll have to experiment in the game or read the actual game files.

The former (example in op gives 55% reduction), it's much more common. For it to be additively they must be (afaik)
* of same modifier type (eg for dmg reduciton you've got ranged/melee/projectile/all etc)
* of same application type (on squad/entity/weapon/etc)
* not exclusive and in the same exclusion group (ofc they don't stack at all in this case)

Autarch+seer aura or distort+fof are mutually exclusive, but yes lab it to be certain.
