Permanent corpses and Imperial Guardsmen models

Postby Sn4rk » Tue 28 Feb, 2017 3:59 pm

I really love this mod, especially the new units.
I just have two complaints, first being the corpses. I know some are permanent, some are not, but I think every one of them should last for 5 minutes on the map. I was playing the vanilla game tweaked to my liking for some time (before I tried out this amazing mod) and 300 seconds is the best option in my opinion if you want to see some corpses on the battlefield, but don't want to loose fps.
I love all of the new models, but I don't understand why the Imperial Guardsmen use the old model from DoW2/CR which is low poly and has a broken hand mesh. Why not use the vanilla models instead? The guardsmen sergeant has the vanilla model and it looks weird with the guardsmen having different uniforms than him.

It isn't ideal that primary melee units don't leave permanent corpses, however it is actually a bug that AFAIK nobody knows how to solve.

I think the time raned unit's corpses are left on the floor atm is about right tbh. Don't fix something that isn't broken!

And if you try, something else will break Kappa

I've played this mod far more than retail to ever notice the guardsmen being different, what was the reason behind the change?
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

Honestly, I have no idea what the OP is referencing wrt to the guardsmen models.
