I cant even imagine how its possible to play with mouse+arrow buttons. With those u cant use hotkeys at all.

Red Beard used to play like that iirc and he was pretty good.
Generally speaking though it is not quite optimal and I wouldn't recommend it.

Always arrow keys all the time, I mean even with FPS I use the arrow keys and not WASD, cause that was the default movement layout back in the day (wolfenstein 3d, doom, heretic, hexen, etc.) => MaxP. old school gamer for lyfe

Re: Arrows buttons vs hot keys
I play exclusively with numbers and hotkeys because it does let me execute strategic approaches or engagements a lot easier than clicking everything and having to swap hand positions between the arrow keys and hotkeys.
Once you get used to the higher demand that this puts on you, your micro in fights will improve by a lot and that gives you the edge that you need to win these fights.
If you truly want to improve your micro, play Eldar. Their units may be strong on their own but their most powerful combos require quite a lot of micro. You can only achieve this by using hotkeys in my opinion.

Thanks. That mid player, about whom I have told, plays for Eldar.

But why those are silent who vote for arrows?
Why you operate so? Only habit?

Re: Arrows buttons vs hot keys
I use the arrow keys a lot, it is a very bad habit of mine. I'll use hotkeys at the start of the match to queue my first unit and movement orders, but after that, it is rare that I will use hotkeys.
I have made a promise to myself that I will start using hotkeys when Dawn of war 3 comes out.
