Same except I like sents/shees and I don't really mind flamers despite their innate balance problems. Oh and Hammer's just too fucking funny, I like Hammer.

I hate zoanthropes though, fucking retarded unit. Also, I hate the in-game elo used for the leaderboards.

-Maps with garrisons at natural power farms. Extra special hate when they are positioned to benefit the enemy player too!

There's so many goddamn quirks with vehicle pathing and transports that it makes playing IG a pain half the time. I spend most of my time making sure my units don't trip over themselves like a bunch of special needs children.

Another special shoutout goes to the outright strange lag that I seem to get ingame. Sometimes I would go the whole day lag free, others I strangely lag for ~15 seconds midgame then things are fine and of course, the weird as hell startup lag that happens more often than not.

One thing that has been getting to me quite a bit lately is just how many effing blobs of doom I see in 3v3s. It's getting to the point where I might quit 3v3 wholesale. 2.3.2 matchmaking can not come fast enough imo!

I never had the sound bug for some weird reason. Maybe I am blessed by a random Chaos God? who knows.

Anyways I am here to mention this weird bug I experience instead of sound bug. It is called a chat bug. After playing certain amount of time you are unable to chat in any forms in game and out in the lobby. I played in several lan shops with different top notched computers and internet connection routers instead of my household computer to confirm that it happens regardless of such factors.

It will always start during the game play. You maybe able to chat right after the game start and for a certain amount of time it will function as usual then boom! you suddenly find out that even though you can press enter to open up chat box like normal and yet you are unable to type at all!!! Once this error kick in you will be unable to chat during the game like I have mentioned and you cannot type anything in steam chat room for friends either. Also if you press alt tab, you cannot comeback into the game. This also causes you to crash after the game ends during your loading screen into end game stats page if you had a 30+ minutes game. Even if your game ended shortly and the game did not crash, you are unable to host a room or save a replay due to the fact that you cannot type at all and of course you cannot chat in game lobby or general chat room. Thx goodness that it does not do anything harmful to the game itself and everything else functions normally. The only way to solve this problem is to exit the game and re entering it.

Anyone else had this problem before? This damn accursed error led to some bad bad misunderstanding between me and other players during some of casual team games. I can name a few but the worst accident was one that involving Yarrick. Yeah, I really enjoy watching his games in Indrid's channel and wanted to meet him at least once during my game play but did not know which time line he lives in so was experimenting with playing in different time of the day and one day I finally met him!!!. I was so sleepy and couldn't really focus but wanted to see how many and which players play during my sleep time. Thus, for the first time in my life, I stayed up late into the night on purpose playing dow 2 and I was pleasantly surprised despite my sleepiness to finally meet Yarrick in one of the team games at about 3 am in the morning.

I was on the same team as him and game was going badly so Yarrick was giving some instructions on where to go and fight which I wasn't able to follow for my own reasons. Then, suddenly I found out as I was about to say such things that this fucked up error occurred!!! This is what happened. In a game which was supposed to be enjoyable experience with a player I respect for his skills, turned out to be a very humiliating and frustrating nightmare. For the mid to late part of the game after that error occurred, he was bashing me for being an incompetent fool for not following his instructions and branded me as someone who will not even chat to discuss things with allies. This all happened just because of that one stupid bug that doesn't allow me to chat in mid game. The worst thing is people are likely to get angry just like Yarrick did since it allows you to chat for in the early part of the game. This means they are really likely to think you are ignoring them on purpose all out of sudden for some weird reason during the game. To make the matter even worse, you have no way to type or speak up to clear out this wrong impression and if they are not in your friend list, there is no way to find and contact them to say sorry sometimes even after you reboot the game.

Sorry, Yarrick I wasn't really trying to ignore you on purpose. It was just that I couldn't chat due to above error. I hope this will clear your misunderstanding.

There are the other two bugs that I want to mention which happens occasionally. One of them is a steam page freeze bug. It is a bug in which the invitation list screen or shift +tab steam pages do not disappear even after you close them. They cannot be clicked upon and those screens will stay there blocking your view. Funny thing is that you cannot click on everything that lies behind that block view screen and the only option to solve this problem is to exit game and coming back in again. The other one is steam error bug which makes you suddenly unable to turn up anything involving steam page. Shift + tab won't work and invitation screen will not come up when you press it in game lobby. This error is also solved by exiting and re entering the game.

I sometimes rightclick somewhere to force them going for a few times. If I am not wrong, it works faster.

My complaint may seem rather singleminded, but I'm a sucker for audiovisual consistency and flair.. So please, hear me out:

Various textures on units not matching up whatsoever!


This is unfortunately a symptom of ELITE, and much of the content used in it, being made by many different people, each with different skillsets, intentions, and notions as to what, how and why. There are entire custom chapters in the mod that, while visually awesome at first glance, end up just looking jumbled over time once you spot all the inconsistencies due to the individual community parts just not matching up whatsoever.

Example: The Imperial Fist custom power armor: It looks great, but the second you put another yellow space marine wearing a Relic-model power armor alongside him the inconsistency becomes just downright glaring.

Hell, even Relic jumped the shark on this one regarding the Ultrasmurf DLC. So many inconsistencies that, together, just help to bring down the longterm awe of dow2's pauldronporn.

(This is probably where I should lend a hand myself, polishing everything to a perfectly consistant sheen (like I did with my local copy of ELITE - put the Smurf DLC fixes in that file I posted way back) while the real talent (everyone else) continue making all the NEW, COOL AND AMAZING STUFF. But, alas... Effort :/ )

I specially hate Relic, because their ALL problems shows up when I play infront of good and famious players. Someone in my pc says ; ''Ehehehe, you don't want me to do it now right? Ehehehee... There you go!'' I just hate it. Relic, my computer, internet in this country, everything! Just everything! I'm just sick off Relics problems and their useless servers / machines / whatever they are!

But I will keep playing this game. Untill I clean all my honor. No one can kick me out of a match because I am Firatwithin! And I will have my revenge agains every jerk in this game. Everyone who ever annoyed me untill today. I will beat them one by one. I will show them playing good doesn't matches with your expensive computers and powerfull rams.

This is really something i have been thinking of, and it is something i hate.

I hate that the playerbase of this game is divided so much, between different mods.

I stopped playing when i couldnt get games on the matchfinder.

I totally think elitemod is better than retribution, but every new player is going to get retri, and there will never be consolidation.


And i hate whining about this game, and i totally think people whining online about this game, killed this game.
