Officer battles

Postby SolidAsARock » Sat 27 May, 2017 10:37 pm

Can anyone tell me who would win: A full health guardsmen sergeant vs a full health warlock exarch (not the hero but like the one for an avenger squad) in melee than after that replace the sergeant for a regular commissar (not the hero)

The Exarch would win, since he has 275hp (vs commissar's 140 hp). He also does slightly more melee damage.

AFAIK neither has a melee special either, so it would be a matter of who has more hp.

I think the da exarch might still have a melee special? I can't recall off the top of my head.

Pretty sure the commissar would win pretty easily though. He's basically a Tac Sarge in infantry armor.

Guardsmen sergeant does 4dps in melee so he wouldn't beat even a regular scout in melee. Commissar at least does enough enough melee damage for it to be worth mentioning.

As Toil mentioned, GM sarg does a negligible 4dps - with his 140 hp he would lose without a chance.

The commissar at least does ~26 dps, but he still only has 140 hp (it would be imba to make his HP higher since he also adds 2 GM models to the squad). However, the exarch has almost 2x his HP, so the commissar still loses.

Also, I think the exarch's only special melee attack is his leap. Other than that I've never seen him do a special attack.

Commissar GM would definitely win since he's a die-last leader, and would therefore be contributing his dps for the entire fight.

Cpt. Obvious: It's a 1 model vs 1 model fight. "Leaders only"

It's simple enough to check on the codex and ctrl-f the unit in question in the patch notes to see if anything changed. Not that it matters when we're talking about the idea of a GM sergeant beating anything that isn't his own shadow.
