- If anyone got any questions regarding rules in this page, contact the organizer on Discord.

- Seeding method part may not be strictly followed in cases when the organizer’s real life interferes preventing him from arriving early for inputting teams or when a bunch of last-minute sign ups disturb the shape of the bracket.

4/ Seeding Method

1/ Divisions
- Players are divided into Divisions based on their Grades.
- Players belonging to a Division only compete against players belonging to the same Division.
- When two players in the same team have Grades or Division seed that require them to be in different Divisions, the team is placed based on the Grade or Division seed of the member with the higher Grade or higher seed. Division seed has priority over Grade requirement.

Grade Requirement
Division A/ Above 150
Division B/ 50 ~ 149
Division C/ 0 ~ 49

Team Number Requirement
- For a Division to be held, it needs to have at least 8 teams consisting of players qualifiable for that Division.
- When there are less than 8 teams required for a Division, required number is pulled up from a step lower Division starting from the highest ranking team available in that lower Division. However, this is not done when there are less than 4 legitimately qualified teams for that lacking Division.
- When pulling up teams from a step lower Division cannot be done, that Division is not held. Remaining teams are absorbed into an upper Division that can be held.
- In case no upper Division is available for absorbing players freed up from a dissolved Division, freed up players will be asked to leave.
- Division A has no upper Division therefore, dissolution of Division A due to lack of teams means players belonging to Division A will be asked to leave.
- The entire tournament is cancelled when no Division can be held.

2/ Grade I Grade List
- A player who joins Monthly Team Tournament is assigned Grade.
- Grade represents an estimate of skill level of a player and is used in seeding that player when one joins MTT.
- There is no minus Grade. Players cannot fall below 0 Grade.

2.1/ Grade List
- https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
- Above page also includes reading guide, the list of tournament champions and Grade calculation method.
- Grade List is updated after each tournament. Consult Grade Calculation tab of Grade List link for understanding how a player's Grade is updated based on tournament results.
- A player requires to play in at least 2 sets in order to receive a change in Grade after the tournament.
- Those who do not participate in a tournament for 12 months are erased from the grade list. It is verified after June and December tournaments. However, this is only done when the organizer manages to hold a tournament each months as regular schedule dictates. When some months go by without hosting of tournaments, the organizer will not do erasing session on those fixed months. He will arbitrarily decide when is the suitable month for confirming participation in such cases.

2.2/ Assigning Grade to newly joining players
- Newly joined players start at 0 Grade by default.
- Experienced players start at either 100(Division B) or 200(Division A) depending on which division they are judged to be belonging to. Other Grade numbers can be assigned at the organizer’s discretion.
- Determining experienced players largely depends on getting reports from joining players themselves.
- Results from non MTT competitive events are also considered. Players who want to enter a higher Division can present them to back up their statement.
- The organizer has the final say on which Division and how much Grade newly joining experienced players are assigned to or get.

2.3/ Reported PvP hours
- Those who are not experienced players are required to sign up with their estimate of PvP hours.
- The time reported is an approximate value excluding time spent in idling, observing, bashing AI, The Last Stand and campaign.
- Any vs player experience counts whether it be 3v3, 2v2, 1v1, FFA or high resource setting matches.
- Playing experience against other players does not have to be from Elite Mod. Playing against other players in Retribution also counts.
- There are no concrete data to back any of these up and everything is based on guesswork of the reporting individual. This is why it is named reported PvP hours. As such, reported PvP hours has a limited use in seeding players for Division C only as a secondary measure beside Grade in case Grade cannot be used such as when Grade is a tie or when having to seed a lot of 0 Grade teams.
- Hours are updated when new hours are posted by participants when they sign up.
- Hours are adjusted after each tournament if the organizer sees the need for it based on how well players performed in that tournament compared to what they reported upon sign ups.

3/ Division Seed
- Division seeds are awarded to Division A, B and C champions. Players with seeds always get placed in that particular Division ignoring Grade requirement.
- Some players are given Division seed without having to earn them when the organizer judges that they belong to a certain Division skill wise. This is usually done to save lower Division players from having to play unfair matches with a huge skill gap even if it is only for a single tournament or two.
- There are 3 types of Division Seeds which are Tournament Champions, Division A seed and Division B seed.
- Non TC seed is erased when the player who has it is erased from the list due to not joining MTT for 12 months.

3.1/ Tournament Champions
- Players who win Division A are recorded and classified as Tournament Champions.
- Players in this classification is marked as TC at Grade List. The number next to TC indicates the number of championships the player won.
- Tournaments they won needs to fulfill certain conditions in order to be considered a proper tournament championship win.
- Consult Tournament Champion List tab of this page (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing) for requirements and the list of TC class players.

TC Seed Exclusion
- It is given to players who got too rusty to maintain their TC seed.
- Some players request it themselves while for some I arbitrarily decides.
- In either case, the deciding factor is the current skill level based on my observation.
- Arbitrary deciding is usually done for those who do not join for a very long time.
- The seed can be restored if I deem the said player has recovered sufficiently skill wise.
- Players who belong to this category are marked with E next to their TC seed at Grade List.

3.2/ Division A Seed
- Players who win Division B are given Division A seed.
- The tournament should have more than 8 teams involved excluding those who quitted without playing a single match.
- They need to also fulfill Grade requirement after winning the appropriate tournament in order to receive Division seed.
- Division win stays recorded and Grade requirement can be achieved later but vice versa do not work.
- Players with Division A seed is marked as A at Grade List.
- Players who only fulfilled Division win requirement while lacking Grade requirement is marked as A@ at Grade List.

3.3/ Division B Seed
- Players who win Division C are given Division B seed.
- The tournament should have more than 16 teams involved excluding those who quitted without playing a single match.
- They need to also fulfill Grade requirement after winning the appropriate tournament in order to receive Division seed.
- Division win stays recorded and Grade requirement can be achieved later but vice versa do not work.
- Players with Division B seed is marked as B at Grade List.
- Players who only fulfilled Division win requirement while lacking Grade requirement is marked as B@ at Grade List.

4/ Seeding Method
- A team’s Grade or PvP hours is calculated by adding values of 2 players in the team together.
- When all tie breakers do not work, the organizer arbitrarily decides as a last resort.

4.1/ Division A
Step 1) Make a ranking list
- The organizer makes a list starting from the team that has the highest number of tournament championship wins and ending with the team that has the lowest number of tournament championship wins.
- Ties are first broke by placing the team that includes members of champion team of the previous tournament on top.
- The team including two of such players gets a higher spot than the team with only one.
- When above tie breaker cannot be done, Grade is used with the team has higher Grade placed on top.
- Teams with no tournament championship wins are ordered by Grade with the team that has higher Grade getting placed on top.

Step 2) Decide top 1 ~ 4 seeds
- Top 4 teams from the list are selected and the team on higher spot on the list gets higher seed.

Step 3) Place top seeds
- 1st and 3rd seed teams are placed in the top bracket while 2nd and 4th seed teams are placed in the bottom bracket.
- 1st and 2nd seed teams get the top most cell in their respective side of the bracket.
- 3rd and 4th seed teams are placed in the 2nd top most cell in their respective side of the bracket
- Top seed teams are preferably placed in a BYE slot.

Step 4) Fill in remaining cells
- The rest of positions remaining in the bracket is filled by below method.
- The top most team from the list is placed on the top most available cell of the top bracket.
- The next team on the list is placed on the top most available cell of the bottom bracket.
- Then, the next top most remaining team in the list is placed on the top most available cell of the top bracket.
- In this alternating way, all teams from the list are placed into the bracket one by one.

4.2/ Division B
Step 1) Make a ranking list
- The organizer makes a list starting from the team that has the highest Grade and ending with the team that has the lowest Grade.

Step 2) Decide top 1 ~ 4 seeds
- Top 4 teams from the list are selected and the team with higher Grade gets higher seed.

Step 3) Place top seeds
- 1st and 3rd seed teams are placed in the top bracket while 2nd and 4th seed teams are placed in the bottom bracket.
- 1st and 2nd seed teams get the top most cell in their respective side of the bracket.
- 3rd and 4th seed teams are placed in the 2nd top most cell in their respective side of the bracket.
- BYE slots should be filled first.

4.3/ Division C
Step 1) Make a ranking list
- The organizer makes a list starting from the team that has the highest Grade and ending with the team that has the lowest Grade.
- Tie breakers are done by reported PvP hours.
- Teams with no Grade are ordered by reported PvP hours with the team that has higher hours getting placed on top.

Step 2) Place teams
- All cells are filled from the top to the bottom with teams placed higher in the list getting placed first.
- BYE slots should be filled first.
