Preamble:
There's a lot to cover and yet at the same time I feel like I don't have much to say right now :/ It's an odd feeling.
-DoW3 has been announced!!! So, just in case anyone thought otherwise, I am planning to run tournaments until DoW3's release. I don't know if I'll just move onto DoW3 from there as I never really planned for this to become a long term thing. Hopefully people can actually put together them moneyz by that time and I can play the game a bit more . Honestly, the future in general is in doubt for me. I might even just keep doing DoW2 stuff even if DoW3 starts up. We'll see.
-I am also gearing up to do a big Championship style tournament at the end of the year and, if my suspicions of a late 2017 release for DoW3 are right, we should have plenty of space for a second farewell Championship to DoW2 there as well.
- I'm tentatively putting out the Tier system now for tournaments to be used for player level screening. The Tier system was what ultimately became of the league system. I'm going to put in a separate thread in the Tournaments section to explain how the Tiers work, but for the purposes of an MRT, Tiers don't do anything and they're open to all players.
- As a general note, I haven't forgotten about Beginner Tournaments and Team Tournaments (Team Tumbles). I'll have more to say on them in the separate thread, but they still exist don't worry .
- As always, if you have any questions please leave them here or message me on Steam and I'll help how I can!

Map Picks
Maps are always selected before hero picks.
The first match of a round will always be a fixed map as shown in the brackets. After this, the map pick will be the losing player's choice. Only maps in the map pool may be played to be considered a valid tournament match.
No map can be played more than once within a round. Each player will have the option to veto a single map during a round, excluding the first match map. Maps that are variants of other maps, such as Pale Tooth Gorge and Green Tooth Gorge, will count as one map and can't be selected in the same round.
Hero Picks
The player on the top side of the bracket cell will lock in their heroes first for the first match. Next game, the player on the bottom side of the bracket cell will lock in their heroes first, and the order will alternate like this until the final game. In the final game of the round, the losing player of the previous match will pick the map and then their hero first.
To check out who is on the top and bottom of your bracket cell, just look at the Brackets page. If your name is in the blue bar, you're the top of the bracket. If it's in the red bar, you're the bottom of the bracket.
