Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
i was under the impression that you couldn't change that though? or are you saying that without being able to change it the resource density is too high?
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
There are 3 different kind of resource points for both req and power.
They each provide different amounts of req/power.
1v1 ones give the most, 2v2 ones something in between and 3v3 ones the least.
These are chosen when the map is made. It doesn't depend on how many players are in the game.
And when making a map with 8 bases the points get screwed somehow and all turn into 1v1 points. So I've been told at least, haven't experienced it first hand. [Wiki]

Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Yeah it would work differently as one would be forced to buy more generators to get as much power as he gets on 2v2 maps.
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Resource income is automatically adjusted depending on the amount of players (HQs) there are. It's not selected when you start building the map or anything. You can see this on the 2v2 AGD. 4v4s just go haywire for whatever reason.

JOC is fine on all game modes.

Toilailee needs to play the new version of 2v2 Argus ^^
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
The only map that is massively fucked is Selenon, that map is in dire need of a Redux version.

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THE RULES!
Selenon Fissure has been removed from the map pool!
A MAP VETO rule has been added and highlighted in red color. Applies for both, 1v1 and 2v2.

Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Can we do also a HERO VETO ?
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Lol, no Rataxas, that's the unremovable trolly aspect of tournaments, couldn't change counter picking!
Lets make Ordo Malleus great again!
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Could just make the hero choices hidden until locked if that's still an issue (needs an online tool or a referee, though).
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
That would be a good addition.
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
For that I would probably make a simple web page where participants choose their hero and they are revealed (and saved, to investigate if necessary) after both have locked their choice.
Simplest would be that both just tell a referee before picking, but that requires someone to personally handle it for each match, which might be inconvenient.

Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Well tbh in the games I did I personally just agreed with my foe that we both message Eerie saying what heroes we want to use, then we hear from him what our foe is using but are obliged to follow through with the original choice.
Not particularly sure what would happen if someone was a straight up dick and did that but then changed his hero pick and refused to change back despite it being blatant that such was not his original hero choice, but I guess nothing would solve that bar a referee in the lobby anyway.
NVM, replays solve it, but still needs a referee, or at least Eerie on hand at the time.

That could be applicable if one or two people would volunteer as referees, I can't enter every single lobby in round 1 to check if everything is ok, as it'd slow the rest of the matters I have at hand by then. But - if we'd have 2 active refs, I guess it could be done.
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
So you guys are talking about a blind pick here for each round of a match?
I thought you were talking about something where Eerie doesn't need to keep track of who entered with what hero. And that the hero selection stays a secret until the end date and that the heroes get locked then and shown somewhere.

Regarding Lul's idea, if the heroes were revealed after BOTH players selected them, it'd be ok (no reselect option ofc), that'd save a lot of time. Also the players themselves would see it and be able to verify it.

1v1 Tournament Rules updated (re-read the 'Results:' section!)
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Random question. Is it possible to contribute something to the prize pot?
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
Plz enforce for tourney play (although I doubt any of them will come up, still):
Act for the Prevention of Extreme Gaylordism
1. No using Shoot 'Em Good or Heavy Gauge Filament on capping lone models.
2. No instakilling Land Raiders with units inside them with Eldritch Storm. Yes you can claim the other player shouldn't be a retard and put units inside a LR vs Eldar but it's still gamechanging cheese.
3. No using Burn Dat House (Slugga ability) on power farms.
4. "A burglar was in my house" is not an acceptable excuse for losing a tournament game. Yeah, really. Floid and me actually saw a guy say that a long time ago.

Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
The only one I see possible to implement is nr 3 since that obviously isn't intended.
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
#1 seems perfectly fine to me, it's all part of the ability, these things are part of those wargears.
The rest are bullshit, I have to agree.
#3 really really annoys me...

i dont think its intended that knockback while capping cancels the ability to retreat
Re: Monthly Rumble Tournament - general rules!
same with knockback while casting an ability
not something that can be fixed though, apparently
