Guys it's not funny - it could be a 4! sec delay between command and shot. When target is moving or too close - TM is kinda stupidly rotates and never give a shot.
Typical scenario - banshee/warlock rush on you and u wanna slow them down. And U GET KNOCKBACKED!
And in other hand - warlock can cast Ethereal Slash FROM KNOCKBACK. Which is maybe ok for armor, but not OK for WEAPON abilities

I believe it's due to the slow rotation speed of the TM during the animation. That's why it's better to auto-attack your target before you order the ability. Obviously at melee range it might still bug out, but hey it's a ranged ability so I have no problem with it being hard to use in melee.
What you talk about when you mention Ethereal Slash is normal behaviour for most weapon abilities (kill the weak, WB's stomps...) that are instant cast. Whether it is ok is open to discussion I suppose. I find it's fine.
