Yea, looks like you're missing those 004_* sga files so something wrong with your install.

Hi ELITE team,

I have recently downloaded the ELITE mod and its update: dow2-elite-2-3-0 & dow2-elite-2.3.1-H2

I installed 2-3-0 first then 2.3.1-H2 afterwards to my steam games location.
Install directory: D:\OLD win7 files\Games IMPORTANT 2014\Steam\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dawn of War II - Retribution
In "Elite" folder > Archives, Data, DataAttrib, Local, .gitattributes, Elite_beta.ucs, elitemod icon

I have added the -nomovies -modname ELITE -dev to Launch options.

I launch the game and as it starts to load, the game crashes and gives me an error report.
I have looked at the warnings.txt file and found no problems here that i can see. I added the log at end op post.

I have played the game today for several hours using the Destroyer 2.0 mod and had no problems. Deleted Destroyer mod as I thought this was creating a conflict somewhere, but still getting the crash report.

Can someone please tell me what I'm missing or why game is not working?

hmmm, what is that at the end of the warning log? you shouldnt be able to access land stand with ELITE. when exactly did your game crash?

you may need to try a full reinstall as you downloaded other mods and it might be fucking with things. it mean, it shouldn't; but it might be. i would say if you dont get a solution on here for a day or two, make a backup and try a full reinstall of the game and the mod.

i can haz checksum? I can make one when I get back, but if anyone else wants to make a file to just quickly check to make sure people's installs are setup properly, it could help some of these problems maybe possibly.

Is there a file in your retribution folder called ELITE.module?

Unrelated: Wasn't sure where to put this, so here will do. We fixed an issue with the installer that would cause an extra 'DOW2-ELITE' bit to be added on to the file path if you used 'browse' to change it. So screwy installs caused by this shouldn't be an issue in any future patches.

For the love of the emperor.. please help! I have tried everything posted above. including installing elite mod to this location (D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Dawn of War II - Retribution\DOW2-ELITE) I just dont know which step im getting wrong. Thank you.

Can you explain the process you went through when installing and what the error you're getting is (instant game shut down, crash, etc)? Be as detailed as possible.

I too am having the issue with being unable to open the mod, seeing Steam saying it's launching DoW2:Retri except then nothing else happens. Attempting to set the launch options led to the same results. I installed DoW2:Retri in a different drive than the Steam program, could the issue be related to that?

Can you tell us what you have in your dawn of war II - retribution folder? There should be a folder called Elite, and a file called Elite.module.

It looks like it isn't finding the mod files at all.

The file called elite.module is in "DOW2-ELITE Folder"
Copy pasting this file into main Dow2 retribution directory make game poping a relic crash report window.

What else is in that Dow2 Elite folder? That can happen if you change the install location in the installer. Taking everything from that folder and putting it into the retribution folder might fix things.

Problem is in my retribution folder i already have a folder named "Elite" so if i deplace the content of "Dow2-ELITE" folder it might erase the previous one.
My "elite" folder contains 3 folders, "data", "data attrib" and "local" and those 3 folders are already in the DOW2 ELITE folder

Same problem if i copy paste it will erase gameassets folder and this one is a problem because i dont have the same files inside and some are used by vanilla.

EDIT: Okay i replaced elite folder by the one inside DOW ELITE and putted elitemodule in main folder + the little file in gameassets and it works.

Mm now i got another problem the version i have is the elite mod v2.3.0 regardless if i have installed the patch 2.3.1H2 it still shows 2.3.0 in main screen.

I have specified the correct path for install and the update worked properly but for whatever reason the update seems to do nothing :/

Ah yeah, I think that's a mistake with the graphic. Should work fine, we just forgot to update it I think :P

It should show 2.3.1 on the title screen if you have H2 installed. Not 2.3.0.
