Hey, quick question that will be helpful -
Are you only causing the Vindicare Assassin stealth bug crash during team-games, or does it also happend in 1v1? If so, share your replays when it does crash and create cover, and put him in there. Does it crash yes/no?
All the more specific, the better to help find the bug that is causing this.

Still don't know how a simply copy-paste from the Scouts Infiltration can cause such big problems :/
Not sure if this can help, but... I found the "Synchronization problem" viewing a 3vs3 match replay. But we hadn't any problems when we were playing that match.

There was only 1 Vindicare Assassin at the same time, because there was only 1 GK player.
The replay's name is "Vindicare fail " or something like that.

Jesus Christ, it's not a normal timed infiltration, it's a custom scripted passive infiltration on entering cover! Wtf!

ppl experienced it in 3v3(not 100% sure) and 1v1, somebody said in 2v2 its ok, no bug

Had a 2v2 crash due to Vindi. Didn't save the rep though.

I have made some changes which MIGHT fix the issue. It is really hard to try nail the reason the sync error is happening. At the moment it is all theroy. I am guessing the hotfix will be out soon. Please let me know of any problems in this thread.

Apparently there is still a sync error problem. I need more data about the conditions in which the sync error is happening. Data such as;
How many players.
How many vindicare assassins where on the field.
Did the vindicare die and get repurchased.
What was the vindicare doing at the time of the sync error.
How many players.

I think the game crashed when the Vindicare stepped into a grenade crater/light cover ( after purchasing his cloak upgrade).

We had a sync error yesterday in a 3v3 with no VAs or even GK players on the field.

I disabled the Vindicare infiltration script for the last version so this is mildly surprising...

It's a shame the replays aren't saved in these cases so we could analyse what caused the error.
Question to the experts, is there any data that could be useful in debugging purposes that we can save from within the game? There's a shitload of output in the console, can this be directed to a file or saved somehow?

Can someone also check whether giving VA infiltrate through e.g. librarian cloak produce the sync error too?

In fact we had a sync-error game where the Grey Knight player claimed he used the Librarian's cloak, not the Vindicare's; yes.

I think I will have to setup a game 3v3 with custom scripts that create debuging information. I need some people to help me play a normal game with the custom scripts. Can I ask for some voluteers on Sunday 9th at about 4pm GMT to help me test? The problem seems to be related to team games, this something I cannot test by myself.
I will create some customs scripts which be generating debugging information which I will send out if we can setup a match.

Did you delete lines 124 to 126 in the skirmish.scar? Deleting these lines should stop the scripting taking effect.

No actually I just disabled vindicare.scar as I couldn't see anything related and the standard style infiltration seemed to work fine when I tested alone. Could that narrow down the issue at all?

Seeing as Tomas is busy with kids and stuff I decided to take a stab at this. I've tried to reduce the lines of scar code as much as possible, avoiding global variables as my gut tells me this might be a cause for the sync errors. The implementation seems solid enough but then I've only tried solo so it's going to need lots of mp testing. So I need a few players, ideally some 3v3, do to some testing asap. I'll be in the elite chat as Myrdal, msg me if you can assist.

Edit: Tested in 1v1/2v2 and confirmed working. There was however a bug not being able to switch ammo types but it's fixed now.

Don't know if this is on topic but will a VA infiltrated by holo-field cause a de-sync error?

Ive been told infiltrating him with the Librarian can cause desyncs; so I guess the Holo field would/could cause the same.

Couldn't you just, say, copy the Catachan Camouflage or the Loota Hide Da Gunz abilities? Why must it be custom-scripted?

May be wrong but they copied Scout(Cyrus?) animation and Scout(Cyrus?) infiltrated script. Still caused sync error. And I think the infiltrated scirpt needs a complimanting animation. Think about it.

Because surprisingly the rbf library is void of any "unit in cover" attribute (afawk) that could be used as a requirement for his passive ability. We're therefore forced to use SCAR which comes with the risk of sync errors. I'm pretty confident though that the updated script will not cause sync errors but feel free to test for yourself by grabbing the zip above and extract Data and DataAttrib into the Elite_beta folder.

In the campaign there are a couple of Bolters that give passive boni when in cover.
Is the description of those lieing, or is it just that it doesnt allow it to tie that circumstance together with a cloak?
