IG vs early Noobs

Postby _4ut_ » Mon 12 Dec, 2016 9:47 pm

It's a question.

How sefely counter them? How to control them? Only Inq choose? Or Sword of the Commissar?
Maby LG sniper buf? But need to see nobs in Long distance. And it's Komando Nob noobs, and he is in haydaboiz mode.

Or katachns? Shota's focus them to fast. Kaskrin grenade? Noobs a early and grenades' to dodgebl. Storm trooper nades? Same shit. Plasma Leman? Nobs rush on them and bang bang.

WHOLE IG ARMY WITH THIS AND THAT? But nobs is early.
To suffer and fight? Well but than?

Also maby somebody can tell me why 2.6 buff him hp for free?

What the fuck am I reading?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you are asking about nobs... As IG you probably want to use your hero to control them if possible (Winquisitor does wonders, LC can at least disrupt them as you suggested). Otherwise, kasrkin grenade launchers can control them using knockback, which their stupid invincibility bullshit can't prevent (If Kasrkin nade launchers have the "attack ground" option, consider trying that if you feel the auto-fire is too slow or inaccurate). I know Catachans are not a premium choice against orks, but they can be used to disrupt Nobz 2x per engagement, as long as you don't leave the catachans at the front line where shootas/kommandoes/gitz can whittle them down. Learn to use your catachans defensively by keeping them in reserve, otherwise they will just get destroyed before they can use their abilities.

An executioner leman russ can also kite nobz well enough as long as you have room to move.

And yes, buffing their HP was asinine.

Plasma guns on guardsmen combo really well with lots of abilities.

Inquistor: Assail to stun them is good.
Lord Commissar: Execute damage bonus with his T1 armour means you can shoot them down very fast.
Lord General: Sniper rifle or meltagun ability with guardsmen.

Manticore is also good. Easiest combo is Inquisitor Assail + Manticore to force a retreat or do tons of damage to them. However any sort of slow, knockdown or similar ability can combo well into a manticore.

Ogryns are okay with buffs but will lose to upgraded nobz. With support however they can do really well. For example, the Lord General's Valkyrie Reinforcements or the None Shall Fall.

Catachan's also have a lot of useful abilities like shotgun blast, demo charges and their power_melee and can work pretty well when supported by commissar or LG.

Leman russ can also kill them pretty quick with Executioner turret.
