How about knockback and suppression immunity (BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!) with drawbacks?

Ability: Blood for the Blood God!
The unit is immune to knockback and suppression, but automatically attacks nearest target (friend or foe) and can not be retreated for 15 seconds.

Suggestion. Remove tracking fos from pf and cheapen it. Add nontracking fos to th and up the price.

Fluffier and probably more balanced? Would it add too much util to th?

I agree that light SM vehicles need a consolidation a-la Rhino/Razorback variants for the GK; as is, they compete too much with the Dreadnought in T2 and the Predator in T3.

The Tactical Sergeant is no hard melee counter, but having him is a million times better than not having him. I think that would be far too powerful on KCSM simply because they can retreat immediately afterward. They would absolutely annihilate anything with the damage modifier and damage boost and move speed bonus that comes with bloodrage. Really? Tabletop meta changes from edition to edition. Spamming fliers and special wepaons is not a tactic exclusive to IG, it's just the current edition meta cheese. I was referring to the IG army in general through editions.

Lifesteal sounds like it would be too OP, I really hate regenerate on hit kind of abilities, they can quickly make strong melee units over the top. I think a very good buff would be to give them a +25% or +50% boost to red and experience they get from melee kills. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD and all that.

Survivability is an issue, but it is an issue with all melee units. What hurts Chaos a bit more is that they have no transports or on-field reinforcement points unless you play the PC, and it really hurts.

Also, KCSM seem to work only when in pairs.

Please let's discuss him in context; you are adding him to a very fragile melee unit that gets owned by heretics. He costs 25 power. He's a T2 upgrade, so he competes with things like the Weirdboy and Wartrukk.

He's not OP for the same reason the AC is not.

Give the tac sergeant the choice to buy equipment upgrade in T3; namely Plasma pistol + power sword. Give the unit some Power Melee and Plasma damage. They will become very interesting in T3.

Yes, Plague Marines carry Plague knives. And you know what, Khorne Marines carry Bolt Pistols. A short range firefight is still a firefight; i.e. in 40K terms it's Bolter/Rapid Fire range. Plague Marines are ranged units. I repeat, the melee Plague Marine squad is as dumb as the ranged Khorne Marine...
