Re: Warlock
Their raw dps isn't much. However unlike something like the warboss power klaw or the HT crushing claws they grant highly damaging abilities to throw on top of his destructor or in the case of the MWB it has that amazing tracking special attack and hence his doesn't even matter that his chasing abil...

Re: Tau unit ideas
It all depends on which direction Caeltos wishes to take with the Tau. It would be far more productive if we just wait for him to announce his initial ideas with regards to how the race will play out, and which units should go where and what they do etc, and then follow up with our advice to alter x...

Re: Warlock
Basically panda never go 2x tics vs WL, it's pointless and once the WL + autarch arrives you're screwed. Do 2x csm into havocs as the CL. The issue here codex is more one of the warlock making GL tics useless. They need to be near the front because alongside nm they are a good suppression/shee count...

Yeah against somebody who knows what they are doing it's impossible to dodge it unless you get really lucky with your timing of worship, or every time the warlock pops around a corner you hit 'w'.

Re: Land Raider Phobos
Oh for goodness sake, that's the point of the damn LRR. The phobos bitchslaps terminators from across the map because that's just what it does. The LRR is a big gigantic support vehicle which is meant to chill in the middle, slightly to the rear of your army. It provides healing, reinforcement and g...

Re: Imperial Guard Chimera
I've been using the chimera a lot less recently because of the med bunkers which honestly, even in 1v1, are a good alternative as they allow you to get those quick ogryns out and they can really screw up any fast walker your foe may get. Still, all IG t2 choices are rather niche, they are all quite ...

Re: Tau unit ideas
Exactly. If the race simply doesn't fit into the gameplay then don't add them, it's as simple as that. There's no need to add IG if relic didn't think they would balance properly. It would NOT BE ACCEPTABLE TO SEE OGRYNS WITH JUMP PACKS, or HUMAN MELEE SQUADS or SENTINELS WITH GIANT HOOK ARMS KILLIN...

All super unit ranged variants do huge damage with their default attacks bar the battlewagon, but that things just, just a battlewagon... try standing banshees near a land raider redeemer's flamers, or some shoota boys, they melt.

If this thing doesn't underperform, I want to know how you feel about all of the tanks in this game that aren't super units.
Riddle me elsewhere, what about tanks?

Maybe just give the thing 5k hp and be covered in warboss spiky armour so melee can't touch it without receiving a 100 heavy melee damage per hit with a splash radius of 42.

Re: Ork Topic
Orks aren't meant to be in t2 for long. They have a cheap ans nasty unit assortment in t2 and their t1 units scale well into it too, so they need not invest too heavily in it - which is why the guaranteed gen farm bash form the DD rush is a bit too much if you ask me -, this is why their t3 is so st...

Re: GK intorceptor squades
Wut? Space marine synergies are like, everything they do. They suck at first due to the horrible damage, and they suck alone since their units are so versatile. However that makes them terrifying when they decide to blob up and have an effective counter to everything on hand at all times and then st...

Re: Brightlance upgrade for Shuriken Platform
I don't get that reasoning. So you saying because various races can compliment eachother 3v3 is impossible to balance so we should ignore it? Yes. Isn't that like saying that half the tf2 classes are op when healed by a medic so we should just say "fuck it" and balanced the game on 1 on 1...

Re: Brightlance upgrade for Shuriken Platform
It doesn't matter how popular 1v1s are. Frankly the game has to be balanced around 1v1 because 3v3 has far far too many random variables such as doubling and teammates being able to cover your own weaknesses. This isn't a debate that can or should be had. Balance must revolve around 1v1 at all times...

Re: GK intorceptor squades
Currently it isn't too strong and here's why: Building interceptors in a 1v1 is a strait up go ahead for your enemy to get vehicles and completely destroy you. Further, GK have a hard time with map control and having only 3 squads to guard 2 gens farms seems highly improbable to me. Also, consider ...

Re: Smoke Shells
The smoke shell gives you time whereas the mortar shell/incendiary shell are better at forcing off the foe. It takes a very small amount of IG focus fire to force off a suppression team once they are knocked out of cover by a mortar shell or have lost 60% of their hp due to incendiary rounds and you...

Because that's the very point of hard counters. Please, for goodness sake is you aren't informed in the slightest about RTS games then don't comment on the balance of them. A hard counter is a unit that is designed to counter another unit extremely cost effectively, however in doing so it will fail ...

Re: Is it OP or is it UP?
All balance discussion has to be based around the 1v1 perspective since 3v3 has too many other aspects such as the lesser need for mobility, doubling, teammates being able to cover your weaknesses, power bashing being easier etc.

And with stunned shootas scouts can easily get into range with their shotguns, as can catachans, the FC or the LC and therefore sluggas aren't gonna do anything to either the ogryns or the asm, and that assumes you managed to avoid vomitting on your sluggas too.

His default attack isn't the problem imo. Would still make Foot of Gork wipe stuff without problems for the same cost. I don't think FoG nor his default attack are particularly OP, FoG costs a lot of power to get access to and has such a long cooldown and energy cost... His default attack is meh, i...

Re: Is it OP or is it UP?
Orks Deff Dread is OP. It is too rushable. At the moment it practically guarantees a farm-wipe vs most races and is a fairly strong walker with very good anti-infantry damage too. I think it should still be a rushable vehicle, but at the same time require quite an investment if you go for that rush...
