Re: What do you want to see from DoW III

I think DOW III should be bold and take a completely different direction to its predecessors. Instead of having your standard RTS base like DOW I or absolutely no base building in DOW II, DOW III should make base building the main component of the game. You'll build a hive city by T3. In fact, lets ...

Re: GK tier 1 vs. Chaos heretics?

If we followed lore a single strike squad will be enough to hold off the entire Chaos army. In any case, the developing theme of the army is one of a small inquisition force initially scouting the area, with the meat and force of the main army on the way. That means that in the early stages of the g...

Re: Brood Nest

True, but some maps have it better than others. Siwal, for example, is a relatively open field compared to Quest's.

Anyway, I simply pointed out the map layout as a further consideration (though I admit that this point remains valid for a lot of defensive fortifications)

LOS makes it such a good force multiplier. Slap it on a map like Jarilo's or Quest's and have fun trying to dislodge the bid position

I do think that they remain competitive in the right hands, with different heroes offering different playstyles and options to outmaneuvre your opponent. Though I'm not an expert Eldar player by any stretch of the imagination, I do know the hallmarks of a good Eldar player (positioning, baiting, amb...

Re: Tournament Picking, is there a science?

Much appreciated article, just goes to show the depth of thought that needs to go into competitive play.

Welp, I guess it pays to play multiple races/heroes to have a genuine understanding of the different matchups and army dynamics. Need more 1v1 players to play against :3

Re: Sternguard and a new ability

My only issue with sterns is that unlike special weapons tacs, their damage output drops off considerably with each model loss. This issue is exarcebated due to the fact that they lose levels, thus effectively downgrading their health. I feel like they should be slightly more durable, perhaps having...

Re: Touch of Nurgle

I change my mind - it still does way too much damage for a T1 global and the 3 second delay is just not significant enough to stop the double doomblast, especially since all you need to do to ensure the double doomblast is get in the retreat path of your foe since it knocks them back. Like a virgin...

• Dire Avenger energy shields. How about limiting their number (per DA squad) or give them a short cooldown, so you can't put them up everywhere all the time. It would force you to think about how you use them and not just spew them up all over the place. While I do think that they're quite spammy ...

Weakest race in the game atm. In both team and 1v1s. Mainly 1v1s. Apart from Chaos Sorcerer the other 2 are underwhelming in all aspects. Considering the current meta revolves around supression teams and PC with CL have problems dealing with them, CL less so but still leap frog supression teams mur...
