Re: Lord commissar power claw/fist
That's true, but really, when you're playing Lord Commissar you really shouldn't be relying on Leman Russes to win you the damned thing. That's like relying on tanks while playing Apothecary; it's feasible, but the hero isn't being used to his maximum effect. I agree something should be done about t...

Then what's the difference between point and circle? Don't both of them deal splash damage in a circular area around the target?

Re: Malignant Blindness...(and CL globals in general)
You're playing Chaos Lord, who is a melee unit and has various abilities to support melee units. One of his abilities reduces opposing units' sight radius? What do you do with that? Cast Malignant Blindness to remove overwatch and charge in, of course. Why are you shooting at the other guy's units ...

Re: Force Commander Thunder Hammer Rework
So you mean turn Thunder Hammer into Nemesis Daemon Hammer? You do realize the Brother-Captain has an in-built 360-knockback special right? The Force Commander doesn't have that.

Re: The Codex WIP
You probably already know this, but information on the Inquisitorial Operatives (can't quite recall the name, close enough) is still absent on the Codex... as well as most of the contents of the new patch.

Re: Sternguard and a new ability
Yeah, I realized they should be better than tactical space marines, hence my initial question whether they should keep both. I'm all for Sternguard receiving additional firepower because it's not like they're blasting everyone off the field in ranged combat; like I said, there're squads that actuall...

Re: Deployable cover
Of course you're not going to find deployable cover useful when your guardsmen are mobile. Use them when you're holding a point that doesn't really have cover around it. Back up with (medical) bunkers and/or deployed Chimerae. Also helps to have catachans to counter those bloody banshees.

Re: Sternguard and a new ability
You SM players and your need to get buffs in everything. Why can't you just see the light and realize that SM is OP at everything and Sternguard need buffs just as much as Zoanthropes need buffs? :P It's not really a buff per se, but more an adjustment. Sternguard lose a very potent defensive abili...

Re: Sternguard and a new ability
I thought it would be a good idea if Sternguard Veterans had access to both, because they're famed for versatility and their ability to perform in all situations against different targets. It would make sense for them to have both offensive buffs and defensive buffs. In the case that there is only 1...

Imperial Guards has a truckload of splash damage weapons as well. Spotters, Catachans (Ol' Reliable), Manticores, Autocannons, stormtroopers (frag grenades), you get the idea, Does that mean they shouldn't get Hellfury Strike?

Re: Hero (and Lord General) mechanics
Levels affect hero revival cost afaik, dunno the exact formulas. Lord General's bodyguards (storm troopers) always die before LG does, however it is possible for LG to die before his srgt/commy/vox man and if that happens those retinue members will just stay where LG died and unable to move or figh...

Re: Why do Purifiers have so much health?
With their justicar the Purifiers have a total of 2050 hp compared Vanguard Veterans who have only 1800. That is at level 1 considering that Purifiers are tier 2 unit they more time to level up before Vanguard Veterans can even come out. Why does they Justicar get 550 health and the Assault Marine ...

Hero (and Lord General) mechanics
Since players start the game with a hero that costs nothing, how is the hero's revival cost determined? Also the Lord General comes in a squad, as opposed to being a single model. When the Lord General's bodyguards die, they have to be manually reinforced like normal infantry models. How are bodygua...

Re: Flesh hook discussion
And if Flesh Hook pulled the Lictor Alpha into the enemy, why would anyone still buy Deadly Jump? I'm not interested in letting the Lictor Alpha receive a get-out-of-jail-for-20-energy card either. The second one sounds OK though.

And put frankly every single variant of the GK dread counters melee really. The melee one is terrifying against it though. Terrifying on the level of a khorne dread.
