Re: Chaos - Terminator Suggestions
Retreating terminators are a cancer, no need for that shit to spread further. The only functional weakness terminators have is their slow movement/rotation/lack of retreat. Saying you should remove the primary weakness of a unit is saying you want the game to be horribly imbalanced.

Re: Guardsmen weapon switch option?
@ Oddnerd Are we discussing semantics or gamebalance ;) @ Hydra Erm.. Grey Knights are a subfaction of the Space Marine roster, so yes, quite. Well, my point is that it isn't really a core strength of the SM factions, it is something very special only given to Tactical marines and their GK equivale...

Re: Guardsmen weapon switch option?
I never deliberately send my GM squads to their death, but whenever my flamer squads dies in T2-T3 I'm never that upset because it's nice to not be stuck with an obsolete unit. I'd love to see the option as well, but unless you can make it seem beneficial to the Astartes factions I don't expect it w...

Re: Are Imperial Guard Stromtroopers inflexible?
In 3v3 the assault kit stormtroopers are usually not worth it. Better to get the more durable GM squad with their mixed piercing/plasma damage output. I don't play a lot of 1v1 or 2v2, but in those modes I imagine they could be quite useful. There are a lot more 1 unit skirmishes going on as people ...

If you wanted a lore-friendly version of ATSKNF maybe let it break a retreat after 10 seconds or something, no model execution required of course.

Re: SM struggle vs IG
I almost exclusively play as LC, so here are some of the things I found were most effective against me. 1 - Don't get caught in a ranged attrition fight with a sentinel. It seems self-evident because sentinels don't bleed, but every day that I play I face SM players who are happy to engage in a stat...

I actually like captain hairgel AKA Aramus. I'd like to see his face and voice back - I always thought Diomedes was a bit overacted (not as bad as Boreale or DOWI Thule, but still). If you used Angelos' voice that would be cool too.

Re: How do we justify using globals/ultimates on the enemy base?
Because base nukes are fairly easy to dodge and you have a 50% damage reduction, it isn't quite as deadly cheap as you'd think. As well, if its at the point where people are nuking your base its a sign that the game is probably lost. Farseers, commmissars, and I think lictors could maybe do a combin...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
I wonder if the banewolf could be fit into the regular IG T2 roster, rather than as an Inquisitor-only cheese ability. I agree with what a few others have said - its probably the most frightening rushed unit in the game for me.

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
I think tank drops in general are not well balanced. I don't like either the Banewolf drop or the Russ drop. The fact that a russ drop costs no power is huge, you can rush to T3 and you don't even need to put the effort into saving up the power or waiting on the build time. Makes it too easy to be o...

Re: Is Storm Shield too good in tier 1?
I havent found it OP in my experience as an IG main. It also slows them down, which can be exploited if your micro is ok. One of the worst designs in this game is the 1-man-army offensive commander, so any item like a stormshield that makes them less 1-dimensional is great and I wouldn't want to dis...

Does anyone use the Baneblade anymore?
Hi fellow IG players, I'm curious to know if and when higher level IG players use this big clunker. I like the Elite mod teams decision to make the main cannon an actual attack and not a stupid activated ability, but otherwise I am not sold on it. I used to get it whenever I could, but ever since I ...

Playing the Lord Commissar against other IG commanders
HI all, primary LC player here. I'm sure I'm not the only person who loathes IG mirror matches, but I hate them particularly when I'm not facing another LC. I have an absolutely terrible time against the LG and the inquistor. It might be that I am under-practiced against other IG (most players at my...

Why not improve enhance so it isn't like a crappy version of Inspire Determination? Support abilities that makes offensive commanders less 1-dimensional are great for the game because they discourage 1-man-army play styles.

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
Wouldn't 3v3s be more exciting if there were 5 points of control instead of 3? That way ppl would be discouraged from camping all the bloody time. Or even remove natural spawn points? 1 - Eldar would win 2 - Natural spawn points are the only spawn points apart from globals. Unless you want those to...

I gave this a go in a 3v3 and it performed extremely well with ogryns. I also tried it with catachans and damn are they scary. Catachans vs other ...

I understand why the Eye with its speed boost and heal would be super OP in T1, but what if they made an alternate T1 version of it? Thoughts on the LC bionic eye?
Hi all, I wanted to see what your thoughts are on the LC and his bionic eye. I don't see a whole lot of IG players, even fewer who pick the underdog LC. However, whenever I encounter another LC player I keep an eye on his build, and I can't recall a single instance of someone choosing the bionic eye...
