Re: Why does the falcon still have AV out of the gate?
If the falcon lost its AV damage then it could easily be given something else or have other pending nerfs reverted. If you took away the AV damage, you could justify making it the fastest transport, or perhaps giving it the longest range anti-infantry weapon. You could even give it the shield early...

Re: Why does the falcon still have AV out of the gate?
Let me come at this from a different angle. Seeing as people here are asking for the Falcon to lose its av damage, let me ask, in what situation would you ever buy it after such a huge nerf? Eldar don't want to use it for in-field reinforcement since they don't want to be losing models in the first ...

Given that they were just nerfed, I would beg to differ.

Where? please quote it. My mistake. As pointed out, that was oddnerd who posted it. I was under the impression that you were the original poster for some reason, and I apologize for that. Another mischaracterization. I just asked a question given that there had been changes to the eldar composition...

Re: Why does the falcon still have AV out of the gate?
I would ask you to read my post again. I did not ask for a nerf, I was discussing why the AV on the falcon may seem to be OP. The very thing I quote is Cyris' post. Please don't mischaracterize my post. You asked that the Falcon's av damage be removed and pushed back to t3 as an upgrade. That is un...

Re: Why does the falcon still have AV out of the gate?
This is the crux of the problem. Falcon supported by 3x DAs, which can lay down perfect cover energy shields, means that the falcon's sustainability in T2 is very high and it can chip away at either vehicles or infantry. If the problem is the support offered by Dire Avengers, why are you asking tha...

Re: Why does the falcon still have AV out of the gate?
Other races' transports have no AV damage and they get by just fine And they have upgrades, abilities, and traits in t2 to help them get by. For example: Smoke launcher (SM) durability upgrades (SM, Orks) a fodder-style front line to support (Orks, IG) added firepower when garrisoned (IG) or just a...

Re: Why does the falcon still have AV out of the gate?
It's a 500 hp transport with no t2 upgrade in a race with expensive reinforcement. It is already getting its speed and shield nerfed. Losing its av leaves it as a worse, more expensive Razorback.

Re: Elite Mod 2.6(Test Version) Changelog and Feedback Thread
Why would people vote for keeping this issue? Dumbs down the AI big time. I've tried using that patch but it's just a mission, you need to open up a separate instance of Dawn of War and then it doesn't work with online play. Because it caused a lot of issues when not playing against the AI. For exa...

Re: Any talk about new races?
Oh right, did the dark eldar actually hate the god/goddess since it tries to devour their souls? Yeah. They feed off pain and suffering to rejuvenate themselves from Slaanesh sapping their souls, since they don't have the protection of Soulstones like the Craftworlders, and because they're huge sad...

Re: Any talk about new races?
I had this thought in my head as well, I was wondering if there could be even Slaanesh worship (the worship thing from the basic Chaos faction with like WSE model's heads on the heretic torsos, the icon on the ground might just be one from the base chaos god marks but coloured purple/pink) which wo...

I suppose holyhammer must be deaf then to allow me to kill his falcon with a holo-fielding brightlance wraithlord in a series worth 100 euros. Re: Opinions on the rangers vs DA vs detection in T1 eldar paradox
***PLEASE CONSIDER THIS SIMPLE FACT*** High burst damage coming out of cloak has always been complained about in this game. Just take a look at what we have now: Scout grenades coming out of cloaking to endlessly wipe havoc squads and what not. Fun stuff right? An extreme example, but I would point...

Re: Opinions on the rangers vs DA vs detection in T1 eldar paradox
For what my opinion is worth, I agree that lowering the cost isn't the way to go. Quite frankly, any amount of money would still be a waste when buying Rangers in their current state. The lack of damage is a killer for them given that they're supposed to counter setup teams as well as bleed lighter ...

Re: Re-Evaluation of Dire Avengers
Placeholder name : Reconnaissance training Price: To be determined (50/15 is my starting suggestion) What it does: upgrades the DAs sight to 55 and detection radius to 30. This is on par with scout detection. So you get good detection but not quite as good as rangers can provide. I love you. On a m...

Re: Not looking forward to DOW3
The Tabletop game which has no visible FX and only game rules that players have to interpret with their minds, doesn't depict it like anything. Come on, this is beyond pedantic. Railguns are Heavy 1, but they fire solid slugs. Dawn of War doesn't show them firing slugs! They fire beams! Oh my God! ...

Actually, it does. The TT game's rules have the Lascannon functioning as a single-shot high damage weapon. Beam weapons in TT typically have multiple shots.

And techmarine nade also affects tg. So one nade and a banshee squad nearby = dead tyrant guard. Because, as Dark Riku said, melee walkers supposed to dedicated melee units, they should not die to banshees. Except tyrant guard. Because Techmarine players are well known for incorporating Banshee squ...

Re: why guardian weapon team speed 5.5?
I have no nerf intended You're asking that it be made worse by lowering its speed. That is a nerf. just only for equaility. Then should we change all setup teams to have exactly the same traits across the board? No. Of course not. That's a silly balance decision because they do different things for...

Why do Devs/Havocs have heavy infantry armor and melee resist? Why to IG heavy weapons teams have additional members? Why can Lootas infiltrate? They're different setup teams used for different reasons in different factions. If you want to nerf them, you need to look at them in the context of their ...

But the surviveablility of the scouts is fairly low when focused and to buff them in melee would mean that some heavy focused ranged builds would consider this 2-times to do so like triple dire avengers or lg with tripple guardsmen or more. I mean space marines are good for melee in early game and ...

I think you may be looking at it the wrong way. Instead of asking why Scouts can't fight in melee, perhaps ask why they would need to. This mod is predominantly a balance mod, and having a highly mobile squad with huge hp regen, infiltration, disruption, and grenades also be a melee superiority unit...

Firstly, the Chaos and SM eco are very different. To say that Chaos Terms are underpowered because they cost more to reinforce isn't a good argument seeing as they serve different roles in the armies. As for what Chaos Terms bring to the table, they have two incredibly powerful upgrades. All three C...

Is elite mod abandon? :( No. Updates just take a while since there's all the minor changes that need to be ironed out in order to keep things fun and balanced, as well as all the theory-crafting that needs to be done to determine when/if something needs to be changed.
