Re: Ork Topic
@Tex And yet you still attack me. I didn't use it just once. No lies please. Because 1 or 2 random replays between 2 random guys = HARD EVIDENCE  I to have 100 games about certain armors not being used. Must mean they all suck too right? So I have to provide replays but you don't? Hypocrite m...

Re: Ork Topic
Fair enough, I will stop attacking your comments that add up largely to "spiky armor is fine, I used it once", as soon as you provide all of us with a replay or two of evidence to support your claim. Because, I can provide probably 100 replays to support mine, that being the complete absen...

Re: Land Raider Phobos
Reinforce aura would be too strong. I'm ok with an ability that allows reinforcements for 20s. Please, do explain why? Most races can buy a reinforce aura for less than half the price or even use some form of global to either reinforce or call in more units. Chaos are in the unique situation of hav...

Re: Land Raider Phobos
Pathing ultimately prevents the phobos from chasing and killing anything anyway, thus I don't think speed is going to help it. Torpid was pretty accurate when he said something to the effect of "this thing is a sit here and prevent anything from coming near without taking massive damage" k...

Re: Ork Topic
Riku, stop it. I demand you post replays of spiky armor dominance. It isn't fine. Do you see me bitching about apo heal getting a well deserved leveling buff (amongst other wargear buffs)? No. Do you see me saying that painboy heal is balanced? No. I am trying to be objective (and unbiased) and real...

Re: Land Raider Phobos
Know what? I would totally settle for the LRP giving a reinforce aura and be done with this. It doesn't need to be a retreat beacon as well, I think that is something unique and cool about the LRR. There are so many fights that certain chaos units cannot win because of the lack of reinforce. Having ...

Re: Land Raider Phobos
I am reading your last post Torpid, I can't help but feel like you haven't tried to use the phobos very often. The thing is a t4 unit. After it's stun goes off, it can barely even defend itself from melee units. No aura on a 800-200 unit that is meant to sit in the middle of your army is ok? Just bl...

Re: Land Raider Phobos
I haven't fully made up on my mind on the phobos, but I can't help but feel like its not what it should be. There are lots of factors involved in this feeling and I think I will type them when I am not drinking so heavily.

Re: Acid Splatter
Or maybe I do, and did know. Disruption is more than knockback. I consider stuns and suppression to also be in this category. Also, as I stated before, if the RA is charging in offensively, he should be shot to bits before he even gets to pull his claws out. With his reinforce chitin armor, he simpl...

Re: Mantle of Hate
That is true, the throw can be useful in a few situations, but lets be realistic about what this wargear is used for in the majority of situations. It is meant to snipe force commanders, autarchs, warlocks, LA's, etc, and it is meant to help control warbosses, HT's, BC's, etc. Seeing as how the thro...

Re: Acid Splatter
So the RA magically just got all up in a catachan squad and isn't shot to bits first? I'm not even going to get started on how it just doesn't ever go down like that. Also, I know of a lot of weapons that rape squads that have infantry armor aka eldar, ork, nids, tics. Is it so awful that a t2 melee...

Re: Mantle of Hate
The only change I would like to see for the mantle of hate is that it stops throwing the target so far away and instead, drops the target strait down, just like anti-gravity grenades do. That would fix the entire problem in my opinion.

Re: Ork Topic
With this perk it would be useful against ASM, Purifiers, KCSM, Banshees, and most importantly, pesky warlocks lol. What do you guys think? http://nooooooooooooooo.com/ Yes BBH is quite good against everything thanks to its absurd damage and ability. No Tex Knockback for every melee attack would be...

That's pretty damn good advice from Arbit. I remember back in my noobier days, floating and indecision were huge problems. Choosing to never float is a great way to force yourself into being proactive.

Re: Kommando Nob
I find that the best perk from it is actually the fact that the stun bomb hits a very large area. It makes his stun bomb scale VERY well into t3.
You also have to consider that it boosts his shotgun blast to full damage if I remember correctly.

Re: Acid Splatter
I have been using acid splatter a fair bit... trying to figure out if all the fuss is worth any merit. It definitely is pretty strong, but all I really needed to ask myself was, "am I more afraid of comparable weapons or acid splatter?", and then the answer came out pretty quickly from the...

Re: Kommando Nob
Believe it or not, but the knife is actually pretty damned good against eldar now. If I remember correctly, it gives +11 melee skill now, so you can actually use it against banshees without getting instantly gibbed. I have also found it to be quite useful in dealing with that pesky warlock via tripp...

Re: Ork Topic
Fair enough codex. I wasn't hardballing numbers though, the speed debuff is just an idea and the numbers could be made to whatever works really. You could even make it so that the unit is only slowed if it is hit by a melee attack. But you can see that the perk is what makes this armor egotistic and...

Re: Invisible abilities
I guess the other difference would be that icon of tzeentch is about as niche as something that is still used can get, while FTE is something that is spammed by most FC players for good reason. I think making it visible would be a great investment of time and would help balance, just like making UYC...

Re: Ork Topic
I admit that you do have a point about the meta codex, but I still disagree on almost everything else you've said. First off, any warboss player left in this game knows for damn sure that big stomp and 'eavy armor are the only armor options that the warboss has. I know I don't have to explain how &q...

I guess it just doesn't stand out like a giant shield, a big blue ring, or a big angry lightning bolt on top of someone's head.

Re: Eldar detection and Destructor
Ah yes, I did forget the gate regen advantage. When managed correctly that is very powerful indeed for not only the warlock hero, but for a badly damage banshee squad or DA squad or Shuri squad as these units tend to soak crazy amounts of damage before bleeding models.
