That's great news, thanks! I've never noticed the effect with BTH myself.

Re: Purgation Psycannon animation
What Ven said. It IS broken as it takes up a disproportionate amount of processing power on a normal pc. My computer can handle the rest of the game just fine, it's just the psycannons that give me problems. And I'm sure I'm not the only person playing this game on a normal pc, so I'm sure more peop...

Re: Purgation Psycannon animation
Can this please get fixed next update? Just played a game with multiple psycannon squads running around and the game lagged massively every time they fired in my field of view. It's almost unplayable for me as I lose squads before I can retreat them out because of this. It must be the flashing effec...

Re: The Chaos Sorcerer
The Rod of Warpfire's ability is ridiculously powerful and nabs you retreat kills really easily, especially combined with the Vestments to get in range. Thing about the Sorceror is he has so many excellent abilities so you should invest in his wargear from the get-go, Sigil or Vestments is an easy T...

I can't lower the settings lower than lowest .
Don't think this is the new servers either, I've had this problem for a long time.

Purgation Psycannon animation
This has been bothering me for a while. Whenever Purgation Squads with Psycannons fire (especially when there's two) my frame rate drops a lot. I'm wondering if it's to do with the firing animation with all the little waves around their feet. Could it be changed to be a little less demanding on proc...

Stat screen load time and other bugs
Hey folks, I've been having issues with increased loading times for maps, especially after the game's finished and it's loading the stats screen. I always play on lowest settings and used to load pretty quickly. I've noticed that when the map loading time increases, I usually have a lot of frame ski...

Re: Patch 2.3 Balance changelog
In what way does it overperform? It's cheaper than a Dread for sure, but I think that's because it's super heavy infantry.

Re: Patch 2.3 Balance changelog
Regarding the melee resistance buff for walkers: I don't think you can argue it should apply to some but not to other walkers. As I understand it this buff will be free and is intended to make walkers more resilient in melee. Withholding it for certain walkers because they are already considered to ...

Re: Patch 2.3 Balance changelog
Quick question: does the Tyrant Guard have a melee resistance aura? And if not, will it get it along with the walkers mentioned?

Re: Zoanthrope
I agree with Riku. The FWB could have a slight cool down increase. But the Zoan is so incredibly fragile I find it hard to consider OP even now. Usually when I kill a vehicle thanks to a single Zoan chain-snaring and some melee/ranged AV, it's because that vehicle was pushed up too far without suppo...

Obviously this game isn't so simple as you put it. Also I believe a Strike Squad is on par with Warriors in melee.

Re: GK Balance Assessment Thread
Just one point from your first post I want to comment on. You mention GK have a hard time in melee. I've tried Nid melee builds vs GK lots of times (in team games though) and I've always been sent home packing. Maybe some bad play on my part, but I certainly don't think GK are helpless in/against me...

Re: Tyranid Without Number(?) global
I remember that shit spawning rippers out on the field for an instant setup team counter in retail. How is that different from globals like Flare, Creeping Barrage, Noxious Cloud, Hellfury Strike (or whatever that fire drop from IG and GK is called)? Maybe I underestimate the abuse that was possibl...

Re: Tyranid Without Number(?) global
I've been using it a lot, both to recover from losses or to get a superswarm going in t2. So far I don't think it's OP even though it's pretty cheap, here's my reasons: - With the hitpoint nerfs on gaunts they wipe a lot faster now so this global is a good way to balance that. - The call-d...

Re: Project Balance: Tyranid section
I think Orks vs Nids is a very balanced match-up both in team games and 1v1. From my experience if either race gets a tech advantage over the other they get to dictate the fights and usually win. Sluggas and Shootas can become much stronger than Termas and Hormas but have to invest quite a lot in up...

Re: How to use the Tyrant guard?
Zoanthrope is a great babysitter for a TG because it can snare vehicles that would kite away from it. HT works really well with it because it can disrupt nasty power melee units and the tyrant is tough so can stick around with the TG. A TG left without synapse can still be supported with towers. I l...

Re: Project Balance: Tyranid section
I think Bio-plasma is fine except for the obvious terrain-hitting tendency. It does brutal damage and the knockback is great vs set-up teams or Nobz. Even the Hive Tyrant's Bio-plasma does very nice damage on a good hit (I think it takes away about 50% of a Tac squads health).

Re: The maps of Max Power - DOWNLOAD Meridian High City V. 1
I really like it, I just played some games against the computer on it. It's very easy to flank and support sides or mid. It's very compact but I think it still rewards mobility because those sudden flanks can be devastating. I also like the central area a lot, it can't be closed down easily by devs ...

Re: New Games Workshop Models
I always find it hard to predict the meta but I can imagine the ranged variants will see some use since they're the only platform for graviton cannons which appear to be terminator deleters. Can't imagine the close combat variants becoming very popular. The lack of an invulnerable save, the high poi...

Re: (6p) Estia Province
I've played the map a couple of times and I think it's pretty good. One thing I did notice was that the raised platforms at the natural VPs have railings that seem to block line of sight. I've seen an eldar weapons platform sitting on the ledge unable to fire at troops beneath. Dunno if this is inte...
