Re: Supression teams (Devastators)

vengeance rounds are a pretty good trait Imo because it gives you soft av and increased damage on demand while still keeping its suppression in the same unit. Granted it's not too hard to get around vengeance unless you are using a lib ($$$) to support it, but it does force the enemy into reacting t...

Re: How do GM IG Lasguns behave?

Iirc scatter is the angle behind the target where a missed round would essentially re roll it's chance of hitting something. So if your shot misses, in the angle behind it dictated by scatter it has a chance of hitting another model(s?) That's what I remember from coh like 5 years ago when I looked ...

Re: Seer Council, what's the point?

Yeah they really arent worth the price point. For their utility they feel more like a t2.5 unit than a t3 unit anyway. A cost reduction to like 500/80 or something with a leader upgrade of 100/30 or so who is a farseer (model) with singing spear (hvy melee) that also gives an ability would make it a...

Re: Complete List of Unique Sync Kills

I used to play strategy games wishing they had more personality in them... Then came out DOW with its bloody combat and special finishing moves(sync kills). Generally speaking, I think he would fit better in t1, with t2 upgrades for no setup/tear down and av rounds. Gk really doest have a long range weapon that makes someone come to them

Hum, for some reason all this time I thought apo had 60 melee skill. Was that way back in CR or was I thinking of another hero? Re: 2.2 Final Patch Preview

The chainsword nerf just means there is less reason to get it over bolter. Maybe if it gave +10 melee skill, but as is he is squishy and then just gets knocked all over the place in melee so why put him there in the first place?

Love the rest especially DR and GK!

Re: How to deal with Chaos Sorc's Warp Rift

No because as soon as he hits you to de-set up you move your devs backwards then the mek dies instantly to focus fire from apo/tacs and you double shotguns to deal with storms (shotgun blast -> nade) or pb/sluggas. Lol and how much have you spent so far vs him? 1 tac squad wont kill a hero with apo...

Re: How to deal with Chaos Sorc's Warp Rift

A. Not all heroes/armies have those abilities and B. They come at a price too. When you buy a dev squad and then wargear/a new unit that does kb you are more than doubling the cost of a wargear like sorc teleport, or basically infinite what a hero with natural teleporting like wse or mek. C. If you ...

Re: How to deal with Chaos Sorc's Warp Rift

In general, dont get setup teams against heroes that can teleport. Its much cheaper and easier for them to counter your investment and then you have upkeep to worry about. As far as sigil goes, like Cretella says, you have to kill/force off either his units to teleport or the sorc. Usually jump troo...

lol, if you have stims and terms they are the best spot to put them! Nevermind the fact that each time a terminator kills something, it buffs all your guys anyway, from a purely mathematical view giving a straight % buff to a unit means the higher your initial damage, the more bonus damage you get. ...

If you want to extend the game, make t1 last longer. T2 costing more like 375/150 and taking longer to build would be a good start. Everything starts to get ridiculous t2, between unit upgrades, New units, and especially vehicles, anyone behind is seriously pressured to just keep even. T2 to t3 isn'...

You know, the main thing to me about gates is that you can drop them down anywhere as long as you have vision of it, and that's it. It really should be something guardians have to physically build, taking time and resources away from doing everything else. It doesn't need to cost red either, just ma...

Re: Asm / Raptor passive leap

Hormas dont have bolt pistols, I imagine the leap was given to offset that for chasing units. The technique described by toil is pretty much what you have to do, but in doing so you have to preposition your units in retreat path, and then when in range they still have to rotate to the target and the...

PS I assume there was a limit of one placed on them because they were supposed to be better than regular tacs, so much so that having more than one would be OP. Eh I dont really get them anymore unless i'm screwing around, the power is better used getting something else. This map is basically just a bigger version of Calderis, with even safer power.
