The Entire Witcher Series is on Sale - Should I buy?
Hi all, looking for input on the Witcher series. I have played a bit of the first game, but don't have 2 or 3. #2 is 85% off and #3 is 50% off for the next few days. If anyone has positive/negative experiences I would appreciate hearing about them. I haven't played a good RPG since Star Wars KOTOR.

Atm, there's no good reason not to go shuri heavy and form your offense around them. The option of upgrading an SCP into Brightlance is not insignificant either. I share your feelings about buildings. Not that I have a perfect solution, but I don't like how close to instant death units in buildings tend to be. The game isn't as bad as Command and Conquer 3, where a unit with a flamethrower just had to look at a garrisoned building and units would come flying...

Having only ever faced dark reapers and never used them, I feel like they are a low threat unit. Well, they have a huge hp pool, 4.6 hp regen/sec per model, and also infantry armour (unlike other astartes models) which means that the dark reapers don't get their 1.25X damage bonus. Plus they have that DOT on their bolters which means they can deal damage while tanking it.

Wow, this is nuts - I knew you were making a new submod, but I assumed you were just dicking around with unit stats and abilities. I'd be happy to be a guinea pig in your experiment, I'd love to try something new.

I don't see why you shouldn't get punished from bad awareness. Just like if you forget a capper squad and it gets rekt, you get punished for not controlling and keeping track of your stuff. Works great with bloodcrushers, works well for letting your Chaos Lord charge into that first engagement faster.

I remember suggesting spotters should be detectors a long time ago. Where were you people then???

I like the idea of scaling damage for abilities in general. Haven't people also suggested that the warlock destructor could use some scaling too?

The bionics armour is pretty amazing TBH. The bonus health and regeneration are almost as good as those provided by the artificer armour (+150/+2.5 compared to +200/+3), and on top of that you get a TM who can shut down a melee unit like banshees, sluggas, horms.. etc easily. I haven't played agains...

Hmm, I never noticed the improved range, that's about a 25% increase. Next time I'm against a fire prism or maybe a carnifex with poor range I'll force myself to buy it.

Probably for the same reason Imperial Guard HWT models who aren't carrying the heavy weapon will move forward. Most of the problems may not be a simple matter of re-writing some code. A lot of bugs like that are inherent to the engine and not within the mod teams means to fix.

Yes it is. Use the shortcut provided by elite mod to load the mod, and use the steam shortcut to DOW II retribution to play vanilla.
