Agree, a 4th wargear would be nice. I never understood why it was replaced instead of added.

Ok, forget what I was saying before. What this wargear needs most right now is a good special attack. She cannot even hold her own against melee units with this wargear. Her special attack is the default one which is just too weak with such a costly wargear. I see your strategy tips on how to use it...

Rangers on occasion refuse to fire and will constantly try to melee instead. Swapping the stance doesn't fix it and losing enough models will fix the issue since the game thinks they're a new squad. I feel the Gravity Blade is a much better choice in almost any case and also has quite a high dps (76.92 vs 65) for a less price. As an AV option the Singing Spear can be used to scare off light vehicles at most. I will try a few more games with it and post some results. However, I am not convinced....

The farseer has a set of very good Wargear. However I have issues with the singing spear: It costs too much for what it brings on the table. A lot of squads get one-shot by plasma devs. I don't see the problem.

I don't know any t2 unit which gets one shotted by another t2 unit

Getting multiple Dark Reapers for 1's is a waste of money and has very little payoff compared to getting something like a falcon as a followup purchase instead. I agree, the fire dragons chasing ability might as well be as good as that of banshees. Had yesterday a game where I used two squads of fire dragons and chased a half hp tac squad down and wiped it by using fleet of foot global. No idea how to fix that without crippling their AV abilities though.

My problem with that is rather that there is no appropriate response to it. Everytime I see that I think "what do I do now?" Even if I anticipate it, there is nothing I can do. Do I focus fire the FC? No, he gets 50% ranged reduction from the ability and another passive 20% from the wargea...

Or maybe just add an upgrade on tier 3 to increase their range (or even damage) to 50 or smth, making them a kind of shooty Flash Gits for eldar? Aspect of Reaper already increases their range to 48. No! Dont reduce the needed energy! The high energy cost is actually a genius design choice. Yes it is a very good piece of wargear. But because you have to use it as the first ability it makes it balanced. Else you would have the upper hand from the very beginning by using guide and then heal everyt...

Somewhat agree on that. IMO Fire Dragons are too good, while Dark Reapers a little lackluster.

Also seeing double Fire Dragons tactics more often lately.

You misunderstood. If you hit retreat you will still get picked up by the laser beams and suffer losses. If you don't retreat and instead activate that ability you can just run past the laser beams (they wont lift up your units into the air anymore) before they explode without suffering losses.

Ogryns on "Incoming!" are not picked up by the Farseer Gravity Blade.
"Incoming!" probably prevents ability knockback instead of weapon knockback. As a result an army on "Incoming!" will probably also not be picked up by orbital. Is this really intended?

I tried going double dark reapers which does not work at all. Way too fragile and way too huge investment. Sure the damage output is high, but one wrong move and you find yourself in a economically very bad position. With farseer they can be somewhat competent but I never felt like they were a game ...
