They're set in the model files, either base model or in weapon attachments. Load up Santos model editor and look for markers, they usually have names like mk_weapon_fx/fire_fx iirc. Download link for the model editor should be somewhere on the forum, just do a search.

Ok, so it's not an encoding issue. You could try add the contents of Elite.ucs at the end of DOW2.ucs but otherwise I don't really know and I don't own a mac to be able to test things.

Yes buffed in elite at some point, KS melee weapon was just forgotten and kept at retail value iirc.

Seems to be some errors in the AI files so they've been reverted and will most likely not make it in 2.6. That's all fine though, it really ought to be a separate mod where the AI also can attack power nodes and such things.

It's failing because it doesn't recognize a rbf header as it's no rbf but an sga archive. You probably want to open it directly (ctrl+o) instead and go from there.

It shouldn't report unless it sees elite mod running. I found ~70 retail games on the ladder though, so perhaps some issue when switching between the 2. Removed them now and rankings updated.
