Re: Sniper damage
Snipers be fine. The thing is they are a "you snooze you lose" unit. The more the game progresses the less attention people pay to small details, and not paying attention for just long enough causes you to lose squads. Simply through player fatigue, increased multitasking and, well, sniper...

Re: Underused abilities (NOT WARGEARS)
Even though it gives nice ranged fire resistance, the Cata nade rarely helps with suppression. Source: been using it for ages.

Re: 2.5.0 Balance
I never got giving Hormas the jump-hit ability, especially not in t1, and now I get it even less. Their wipe potential is so high, and their Eldar-like model spread is so prone to just ignoring suppression, nades and other anti-blobby stuff that out of 15 games against Tyranids so far I've maybe onl...

Re: GK Anti Vehicle- Conversion beam projector
People always talk about GKs not having a traditional lascannon/beamy/brightlance setup team, but they never seem to mention that all GK AV weapons are also EXTREMELY good vs infantry as well, sure they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. So what you are saying is they don't have good AV b...

Re: GK disruption T1 vs WB, HT, Eldar, CL + multimelta remov
Let's not forget that the Rhino doesn't prioritize vehicles, yet it always needs to move and kite due to it's relatively low hp. IE if there is infantry around the vehicle (and there usually is, whether they are pushing or retreating) - it will waste shots on infantry because you need to click move ...

Re: GK disruption T1 vs WB, HT, Eldar, CL + multimelta remov
And yeah, like Bahumat said, orks also don't have a long-ranged AV snare (well except for mek mines and stikk stunbombs but those are rare and have other obvious drawbacks) and nids AV in t2 also took quite a blow in the thrope having the cooldown on focused warp blast doubled. Don't forget that, a...

And then we would have another "same as the other one" squad in the GK roster. I still don't understand why 38 units in the GK roster have a flame thrower. The units are supposed to have distinct roles. That said - if you give your SS the same or very similar role as your Purgation squad I...

But sure, give me a replay where you beat a TM/nids player with GK where the game goes to t3. Maybe then I'll change my opinion. Might not count though since despite it going to T3 for me, the SM never got to T3 ;) http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WpuYGqCEHDg/UBznzaqReKI/AAAAAAAAB_0/0Vc8_mnnhqw/s1600/mind...

Re: GK disruption T1 vs WB, HT, Eldar, CL + multimelta remov
So what you are saying Torpid is that instead of giving them something like the Las-Havoks, Las-Devs, Las-HWT, Beamy-Lootas etc which is easy to set up and is dedicated AV with a long range and high damage, PhatE is supposed to invest a lot of money and time (getting those two upgrades out does take...

Re: Grey Knights Anti-Vehicle
The issue here is that GK do have good AV in the form of Paladins, but you need to have a lot of synergy with other units. All other factions have immediate answers to armor: lascannon units, venom cannons, tank-busters, etc. Exactly. They need something with sustain too - not a 1-model army which ...

Also, chances are you're going to lose your paladins doing that. Not a good trade. Not if you have Nemesis warding Staff/WATH to greatly support em ,that 30% Damage mitigation can turn situations around. They can severely crippled if not destroy the Landraiders/ Predators/Walkers and still get away...

Eldar Shields block damage from nades and arty as well? Or is it just coded retarded like that and is unfixable?

I would say that the latest balance change pretty much fixes IG t1 (the reduced upkeep on Sarge and Commie). You can now invest into a lot of t1 and still have something to spend in t2.

Re: WSE heavy gauge death spinner + improved targeters
WSE seems to be overperforming in t1 imho. It has AMAZING utility with his hear throughout the game and it shouldn't be such a beast so early in the game. There is what you already mentioned, and then there is the fact that it is a teleporting unit which does a very good amount of melee damage in it...

Re: IG Balance in 1v1
I'd say IG is pretty okay right now. For example from my experience (and contrary to what many here are saying) their t1 lacks a lot (sure, it doesn't lack if you invest a SHITLOAD in it which leaves you with too high of an upkeep to capitalize on reaching t2) and then t2 just rocks hard. I think th...

Re: NM & Set-up Teams
Both shotguns and Cata barrage DOES setup the team (shotguns sometimes even fail to do that) but push them away so melee units need a bit more time to reach them and engage, giving more room to re-setup. Dunno, I always saw them as a pretty badass counter to setup teams, especially if you have Tic b...

Also, NM are just fine. I think they're a fantastic addition to a lot of builds, in particular and as it has been pointed out, CL. That being said, the fact that they can de-setup your setup team if fine as well - if they are able to march themselves close enough to do that without retaliation, I t...

Re: NM & Set-up Teams
I'd have to agree with FISH. De-setting it up is a bit lame. It was okay when Noise Marines + Tic Launchers were the only counters to setup teams in t1, but now that Raptors are in as well it seems like NM kinda counter set-up teams a bit too well. I don't think this is fixable though so not sure wh...

Re: Bottom Tier Heroes
LC The thing with LC is that he can play different roles. Inq is squishy, LG can ONLY support while the LC can be a support hero and can be a beast of a tank, plus his mega offensive stuff (Inspire Terror and Emperor's Wrath). If you come past t1 he is the best out of the three IG heroes imho. And ...

Yeah, it's not enough that GM die like flies and give off tons of red - let's introduce a unit which serves no other purpose thank to die a lot, run off from the field quickly and make sure your opponent can spam globals. Nobody stops us from assigning a minimal red/XP bounty for them or something ...
