Re: Malignant Blindness...(and CL globals in general)

How is this global useless? You'd be mad to engage as an opposing player while this global is active. It nullifies any defensive set-up and allows your melee units to engage at their leisure. Defensively it can protect fleeing vehicles. If you're using this global and then engage your enemy with ran...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback

So wait, are you really saying that a whole army's dps can't drop 1 paladin model? I think we can agree that they're tough but they aren't invincible right? Since they can retreat when they get low on HP, I've rarely seen Paladins drop a model. And this is after teleporting into one/two armies' wor...

Re: 2.4 Balance Feedback

My 2 cents on Palas/GK Termies: Iirc the design plan was to differentiate them more from loyalist/traitor Terminators, hence the retreat ability. Following that logic take away their teleport. The combination of the two is clearly too good. My other beef is that Paladins have no weaknesses at the mo...

Re: Bugs/Issues Thread

Not a major issue but I noticed the tooltip for Tyranoformation obscures half the screen with its size. I don't think it's necessary to list quite so much info for an in-game tooltip.

Re: Hammer vs Fist against the Tyrant Guard

Against TG Fist is obviously better, the clincher is being able to take it out when it's in shieldwall. Against Nids in general though nothing beats teleporting TH FC, counters the Termagant blob that would otherwise cripple him, can wipe the Doom with battlecry, and levels him up like crazy. You ca...

Re: Killing the tyrant guard...

Don't forget to pop nearby Warriors first for 10% health damage on the Tyrant Guard per Warrior killed. Plus a Tyrant Guard without Synapse is a sitting duck. Zoanthrope health regeneration aura stacks on a shieldwalled Tyrant Guard so you probably can't take it out if it's under a triple blanket. A...

That is not so much a balance issue with the ability but a balance issue with the map. It can be abused with any AoE buff, like Waagh banners or Webways.

It might be a bit too strong in team games relative to its cost but certainly not at the level of the Relay Beacon.

LA is already a glass cannon. It has received a health debuff one or two patches ago, giving it another one will just make Tendrils a required upgrade. Regarding the replay, I mostly saw the LA be successful when engaging isolated units which is exactly its purpose. I didn't see you make any massive...

Re: High Powered Shot buff

Give it full damage on retreat like flesh hook, and make it the TM's starting ability. Oh wait, that's OP... Well if it's op why did you suggest it? The TM already has starting abilities. He can build turrets, relay beacon, and repair. I really think a CD and energy reduction is the answer and that...

A few months ago I used to get sound bug a lot (like almost once a day), then for the past few weeks I didn't get it once. But the last couple of days I've had it occur daily again (twice yesterday). What I've noticed is that: 1. Soundbug happens more often if a program is running in the background ...

Re: Tyrant guards / biovores

I'm not up to date on the fluff, but the similarity in shape between the current Tyrant Guard and Biovore models is coincidence. Originally, the Tyrant Guard were supposed to contain Space Marine genetic material, whereas the Biovores were created using Ork DNA. So from a biological perspective they...

Re: Plague Marine snare

As far as I know the logic behind the Zoan snare nerf was to limit the chain potential. I know a Zoan is an inherently different unit from a Plague Marine squad. That doesn't mean the same logic doesn't apply to Plague Marines with regards to the chain snaring potential.

Plague Marine snare

A while back the Zoanthrope snaring ability got an increase in cool down so you couldn't chain the snare with a single Zoanthrope. That seems fair to me. But Plague Marines can do the same thing and it doesn't even cost them energy. Now I don't really know what would be a fair way to fix this, but c...

Re: gg no re

I've always believed that the main reason so many people think Nids are (still) OP, is because so few people play them. This means that: 1. Lots of players have no qualms about requesting Nid nerfs as it doesn't affect their gameplay. 2. People play less frequently against Nids so have less experien...

Or is it that when you're assuming you're facing an OP race and get frustrated you play worse than usual? You realise that that would give double the incentive to nerf the race in question? Double the incentive to cry OP yes. Whether the perception that the race is OP or not is legitimate is a diff...

Hormas will wipe the floor with Sluggas when supported by a Warrior Brood or the Hive Tyrant. That's the whole point of Nids, you buff your useless critters with Synapse and knockback to win fights you otherwise wouldn't.

Melee Ravs still suck though.

Re: Why so few Tyranids player.

I think most people find Nids boring to play quite frankly. They have few abilities and not a whole lot of units making them very one-dimensional and straightforward. That gets quite tedious after a while. Unless you really love bugs. Hmm bugs.

Nids vs IG

I've heard from some people that IG have a tough time vs Nids and it's just against all my experience playing as Hive Tyrant in team games. T1 I find it almost impossible to push against a decent Guard player with a Sentinel and 2 GM. Multilaser turret prevents a push from most avenues. Tyrant gets ...

Re: Just a few things i feel needs to be changed.

Bunkers can be repaired which can make them almost impossible to destroy if you can't force of the guardsmen, which is tough when they're reinforcing off the bunker they're repairing. Nests have no such problems. Nests also have a big and awkward footprint so they usually have to be placed in open s...

"It's easier to kill than the medical bunker but eh"

Like, WAY WAY easier. Broodnest is fine. It's a temporary benefit for the Nid player and it's not like the reinforcements are free. If you can't kill the nest you shouldn't win the engagement.
