Re: 2.2 Final Patch Preview
Gotta agree. * Spiky Armor now grants a new ability called "Center of Attenshun" (orkify maybe) that taunts a nearby squad in radius of 20 of the Warboss to attack him for 5 seconds. Cooldown 60s , energy cost 30 I think making it just a one second thing would introduce more then enough co...

Re: Teaching Players how to Beacon.
Building turrets behind enemy HQ has been done forever, there's just the risk that you get luled doing it. On some maps you can bypass turrets T1, on some you might need a transport (well you could borrow a GK Rhino in T1). When we introduced GK I was expecting ppl to go for sneak Rhino + Purgation...

Re: Re-evaluation of the Basilisk Creeping Barrage
I think OP is talking about not giving any additional nerfs to the barrage as it has already been nerfed and is fine for the money now. Then he proceeds to explain that some abilities can wipe armies, kill stuff on retreat and all for less red. I agree - do not nerf the barrage.

Really? I thought it works like the British HQ Truck as it is the same game engine.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: Teaching Players how to Beacon.
I always go "wtf" when I select a squad which is at base and beacon is selected as retreat point, and I try to retreat it to the beacon. It just goes "derp?". Shouldn't it retreat to the beacon ffs?

Re: Last chance to voice your balance concerns for 2.2
One more thing that grinds my gears is the Brother Captain blue ability thingy that he can summon an move around - not only does it force at least a portion of the IG army to retreat as it does insane, unavoidable damage, but it also does high damage to retreating units as well. Make it do less dama...

Their Sarge becomes mortal once you have the Commie in the squad.. No he doesn't... How is it even possible you think this? °_O This is a general thing, maybe a bug, or I don't know, but when the squad is down to the commie and the sarge or any squad with more than 1 die-last character will make th...

BTW very important! The LG heal armor still heals allies, still heals at full rate when in combat and is still insanely op for a t1 item.

Re: Last chance to voice your balance concerns for 2.2
Catas are fine. They preserve all their dps and even if they are low at health they still fight to the full extent. Everybody but IG players (including you) think that cats' bleed system is broken. You mean like SM and CSM? The GM is the most "bleeding" unit in the game. 19 req per 3 mode...

Re: Last chance to voice your balance concerns for 2.2
I feel that the damage distribution mechanism for Catachan Devils is, for want of a better phrase, broken, and that if it hasn't already been considered (which I'm sure it has by Caeltos, etc.) then perhaps it should be. One match recently casted by Indrid highlighted this fact (see 4.44, 8.07 and ...

Re: Project Balance: Tyranid section
Synapse in general isn't a problem. If you have Hormas and Termas, and they go to t2 and gain melee/ranged synapse - that's cool, it's logical progression, especially as every other faction's t1 units get upgrades which make them better in t2. But then I still don't get the Endless Swarm upgrade. I'...

Re: Project Balance: Tyranid section
My first problem with the Tyranids is that their "soft" units which are supposed to bleed them and provide less and less staying power as the game progresses - get their shortfalls negated by first the Endless Swarm upgrade (the "buy one get one free" does make sense for GM as th...

Re: CoH 40% off coupon
If anyone remembers CoH 1 vanilla form he would also realize how good CoH 2 vanilla is. CoH 1 ToV has not too much to do with CoH 1 vanilla. I still remember Ostwind insta-gibbing entire armies.
The only thing I don't like about the new CoH is that I don't see the arty smoke clearly.

I know the feeling bro. Happens to me when I haven't slept well or something. Your reflexes and reasoning just ain't up to the task of facing a human opponent and you just get more upset with every game. I don't rage at this anymore, but I used to rage hard in the Starcraft days.

Re: Old unit portrait mechanic
If I had something bound on 2, and then took something else and bind it to 2, the boundless stuff mixes with the other boundless stuff. Even if I had everything bound and knew which was which - it would still take me time to find the one unit I am looking for, instead of just knowing that the second...

Re: Old unit portrait mechanic
The way they rearrange when I re-bind is unpredictable and my mind set is "I have a mess in binds but at least I know where which unit is due to them being arranged so nicely on the portrait interface". Sure, I can still reassign units, but when I want to select a specific unit to retreat ...

Re: Old unit portrait mechanic
I do bind units, but I re-bind them mid battle to adapt to new priorities. If I retreated my Warboss but my Sluggas are still potentially the most useful unit in the middle of the fight - I will bind them to 1 until something else is the most important. AFAIK it can't be set up to have both options....
