Re: Commander Sidearms
Warboss shoota range is a headscratcher, if that 49 value is correct. EKS has the standard 38 range. As for the FS's shuriken pistol, my 0,02$ is that while 2,47 dps is pathetic and might do with some touching up, I would hesitate to buff it up to anywhere near the level of some of the other pistols...

Re: Farseer Wargear Singing Spear
Nice! That seems fine, then, considering the animations. I do wonder if the difference in sweep type has any effect on gameplay. I've never noticed it dealing knockback in a different order than the witchblade specials. from http://www.dawnofwar.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1261 Farseer Defaul...

Re: Thoughts on the LC bionic eye?
Catas don't sound like they'd work as well? Don't write off the Catachan synergy just yet. The 3,5 Speed boost is huge; for reference, Fleet of Foot adds 3. That means Determination Catas are running as fast as non-Exarch FoF Banshees, at 8,5! Banshees become 0,5 faster with their Exarch (plus thei...

Re: Farseer Wargear Singing Spear
The Farseer's special attack animations are already pretty damn good (plus changing animations or making new ones is a bunch of work).
I haven't been able to find the amount of damage it does anywhere, though. If it's the same as her default weapon, then I guess that could use a bit of an increase?

Re: Genestealers, yes or no?
The main draw of Genestealers is their crazy melee skill (starting at 80, 90 under melee synapse) which makes fighting other melee units go much more predictably, and, in combination with melee synapse and Adrenaline Rush, makes them almost impossible to take on even for vastly more expensive melee ...

Re: 'Squad leaders' chat
I've been thinking about the possibility of applying the Sternguard/Vanguard treatment to all squad leaders (and getting rid of the die last mechanic in the process, probably not entirely possible). Basically, make them a true permanent upgrade to the squad, alongside any passive benefits they might...

Re: Far Seer's timefield
Let's get some facts up in this, huh? Armor of Asuryan | T3 150 req, 50 power Increases health by 200, also grants Time Field . Time Field ; 60 Energy cost. Slows time around the targeted area in radius 20 for 10 seconds. All units but the Farseer herself have their speed reduced by 40% and cannot a...

Re: Basic IG Lord General help
I'm a pretty terrible IG player (terrible in general, actually), but my 0,02$ is that 2x GM + Sentinel is a base, not really a T1 build that you can get away with reliably. If you really want a power-free T1, at least get another GM or Sent, and most of the time you'll want/need a T1.5 unit of some ...

Lord Commissar with Rune Armour (BroCap levels of tank in T1, plus added regen, plus kickass ability) T1; Guardsmen (Starting unit) Khorne Heretics (These guys will actually scale decently with Commissar support). Havoks Assault Marines Catachan Devils (Pretty nasty synergy with Khorne worship) T2;...

Re: Subjucation musings
I guess that if you timed the detonation to coincide perfectly with the end of the duration, you could blow the squad up before the opponent could retreat them. Other than that, though, the damage immunity is there to prevent this kind of use.

'Do not touch me!' - Warlock (along with everything else he says, pretty much).

Hey, nice to see you casting. If you're not already using Audacity to record your vocals, I'd suggest switching over to it. It's completely free and lets you do some straightforward editing. There's a bunch of guides out there by people that actually know what they're talking about, like this one; v...

Re: Use of Hero dialogue
Might just be going crazy, or perhaps I've played too much Last Stand, but isn't this already the case? I seem to specifically recall the LC going on about General Tarsus when toggling his shield etc. Or are there specific abilities that are missing contextual lines? I recently went through every si...

Re: Mekboy More Dakka Global
How about a version that starts off as a small-ish damage buff, ramps up the damage over time, then does guaranteed knockback at the peak of the damage buff, for the last couple seconds of the duration? For example; Whips the boyz into a shooting frenzy, granting an initial ranged damage buff of 5%....

Re: Favourite "Elite Schemes" and what next
Biel Tan are not that distinct, they are just ugly. Something more distinct would be Alaitoc or Saim Hann (A Saim Hann biker gang would be cool). P.S. Alaitoc are my favourite. X) Saim-Hann seems an impractical choice because pretty much all of their signature units are simply not in the game. I do...

Re: Favourite "Elite Schemes" and what next
I'd like to vote for an Eldar scheme of some sort, but Exodites and Harlequins both seem like really bad choices for the unit roster you've got to work with. Why not a Craftworld with a distinct look like Biel-Tan? Favourite scheme from 2.3 would be Thousand Sons or World Eaters. Night Lords are alm...

Re: WSE heavy gauge death spinner + improved targeters
I'll be the first to tell you that I'm a pretty atrocious player, so I might just be thinking this through the wrong way, but it seems intuitive to me that you wouldn't want to directly nerf the potential of a 55 power investment in T1. What changes with the two-handed animation set is first and for...

Re: WSE heavy gauge death spinner + improved targeters
If this particular wargear combo is determined to be a problem (and I'm not entirely convinced that it is), then we could try changing the Heavy Gauge DS to the two-handed model (the sort that newbie Spiders use), to make it a tradeoff between disruption at range and practicality in melee.
