You have only to pay attention to 2 things: 1) don't let enemy melee units into their melee charge range - cause then they are faster then scouts, so enemy will get them. 2) Shotgun blast fails, when the enemy unit begins a new animation. Perhaps - if the maker has troubles with animations - he can try to contact Canis-Lupus of Codex Edition. Lupus is an animator, if he has time - he will surely be able to manage it. Btw, if it is ShadowNinja, who makes the model, i believe, they already know each other.

I think changing it from a toggle ability to one that can only be used in bursts with relatively short cooldown would be a good idea. Say 30-35 energy for ten seconds with another ten seconds to cooldown before you can use it again. It'd encourage strategic use with good timing to be used effective...

FC with SS will most likely build 2 tacs. I wouldn't rely on a heavy weapon squad in this case. But rather build 2 sentinels and spotters.
