Re: "SEE BUT DO NOT BE SEEN!"

Someone should check the Scout SFX settings maybe, in case some oversight value there makes the voice carry extra far.

Re: The Lord Inquisitor – Prologue

2/10 not MOBA enough would not watch Look at 4:40, obvious creep lane, MOBA confirmed. Didn't like the Inquisitor character that much, seemed like a bit of a twat. So obnoxious. Hopefully not by accident… Still need to hear Space Marines talking. The "Grey Knights" Teaser has a Spess char...

Re: Steam Game Prize Wishlist

Not competing, but as games worth the time (rare) I’d suggest – The Dig (point & click adventure) – L.A. Noire (action adventure) – Metro 2033 (first-person shooter) – Metro: Last Light (first-person shooter) – Pillars of Eternity (role-playing) – Sleeping Dogs (third-person action) – Spec Ops: ...

Re: First ingame video (it's in German though)

I don't understand why they're taking this risk, alienating half of their fanbase with this cartoony, over-the-top artstyle and dumbed down, immersionless gameplay The existing Relic–DoW fanbase is very insignificant compared to what might be gained by catching the interest of the millions of mains...

Re: First ingame video (it's in German though)

GG RERIC you don gofed again! Dirty MOBA and generic peasantry gameplay how could they allow such travesty for such a dedicated 100 man community of the most ELITE people the DoW games community has to offer. Exactly what are you trying to say here? People in this community are not allowed an opini...

Re: First ingame video (it's in German though)

Tbh, Gorbles is right – 1) all of it is rather ridiculous fantasy to begin with, so asking for “realism” is a bit of a miss (I would genre it as “science fantasy” instead of “science fiction”) and 2) if gameplay reasons require Gaben to do fucking Ryūtsuisen to telegraph his special, then he’s gonna...

Re: First ingame video (it's in German though)

Weeelp, not much of a fan of the glitter – I’m mostly just getting vibes of a “maybe people will give us more money if we make it look like Blizzard” line of thought from all that. Which is a legit direction of reasoning, except that the look doesn’t fit 40K and that the Blizzard look is absolutely ...

Don't feel sad, you looked like a farmer to begin with in the untailored jacket and funny pants.

Re: E3 2016 (June 12-14th)

Well, the stream is available below, but it doesn’t have any actual DoW3 on it (which is mildly [but only mildly since it’s Relic] surprising considering it’s titled "Dawn of War III First Twitch" and advertised with "Dawn of War III live on Twitch") so I can’t recommend it much,...

Looks like no, and hakon would be the one to ask about updating the scanner. I suggest, though, that you would first go through all your videos and enter mod version, players, heroes, maps, and ESL IDs (where applicable) in the description in a standard format such as BbBoS or Indrid channels, and h...

ninja stars Because that's what they shoot at people Well, the Japanese word "shuriken" refers to hand-held blades, so it stops making a lot of sense once you shoot them out of a rifle instead, and the term has nothing to do with either stars or ninjas. Most shuriken were/are rod-shaped a...

Re: Map theme Idea

It would require making a new tile set first—however, compared to building novel units, which also require animating (which no-one can do at the moment), this static work should actually be simpler. With an alliance of map/3D/texture people, that is.

Combat-Stimmed Merciless into a Scout ’nade used to be a solid Apo move… Although using the Stims on Lib Smite (back when Stims were +40% and Smite was 4×25) was so good & easy as to overshadow most fancier combinations.

I think Bloodravage of the Destroyer 40K mod (where we got the Grey Knights originally) did the GK textures. But we have had other people do assorted texture things later, so someone should be capable. No permanent house artist, though. On the side, here’s a LulTube glance at the animation process o...
