There was talk of changing its damage type to normal melee since it was power melee for most of its life. I don't actually know if that ever happened or not. Don't think it got a simple damage reduction though.

I would take Elite mod Dire Avengers any day compared to retail. At least they don't cost 300 req to buy, and 30 req to reinforce a single model. Same goes for Banshees. Their dps has not been changed in ages. It has always been high, albeit not very bursty. The 5 DA models do roughly the same damage as a tac squad.

They can get stuck on nearly every map potentially. It's to do with cover that can only be passed via jumping over it/teleporting behind it, and then ending up being surrounded by impassable terrain afterwards. In theory passive heal on hit should make them very strong in 1v1 fights vs other melee in the same way feeder tendrils or icon of khorne+lightning claws makes the LA/CL melee duellist beasts... Annnd in spite of everything everyone still thinks the LA is the weakest nid hero in 3v3. And a lot of people would say he's up there even in 1v1. And even outside of nids, very few people consider the LA top tier anymore... So re-hauling the key feature of the hero, or every single leader's feature...

I am suspicious of those purported stats on the strike squad special i must admit, but perhaps the extra 25% radius is a bigger deal than it might seem upon first inspection?

And 2 tics should beat nemmy strike squad quite handily I imagine simply because the SS cannot special them.

We need a broader approach to terminator spam in 3v3 I think because OM/CSM/SM all massively overperform in 3v3 compared to 1v1 due to it... Something like giving terminator variants higher upkeep than they have atm. They already do have disproportionatley high amounts... but it clearly isn't enough...

I'd target the specials because it is what makes them win fights they shoudn't, for instance against shees or multiple sluggas/hormas. But they should win those fights... Are they? 475/15 for a pure melee squad with no movement abilities or ways to counter suppression.

I should hope they do the t1 melee job fairly well at least. Remember banshees are 425/20 with the aspect (right?), but banshees also scale far better.

Blobbing in t1 for mucus is good vs energy ranged builds but if they are using a lot of melee try saving your mucus to use on your aspiring champion heretics instead of the more obvious CSM. You "face-check" with the unbleedable, very difficult to kill 30hp/s regen sentinels... Then in T2 you swap to a chimera, have the spotter flare for line of sight (as well as servo skull as inquisitor) and can also use infiltrated stormtroopers.

Chaos player just looks like a noob to me. No map control, terrible use of chaos lord, getting barely any bleed. Goes T2 fast after losing entire gen farm and then buys havocs as first purchase in t2 lol.

Then noise marines turn into blastmaster and just sit in garrisons and do nothing for 5mins...
