Re: Worth buying now?
I got a physical copy at a bargain bin for 60% off. It was borderline mediocre (4.2 out of 10). I've got no intention of playing the campaign again or getting into the multiplayer. I recommend you wait for a even bigger sale than the mere 50% they usually offer. I should've waited for a 66% or 75% o...

Re: "The community" and DOW3
To be entirely honest, the main reason for me not having any interest in DOW3; ignoring problems like graphics, gameplay, animations, voice acting, etc. Is the massive arse price tag. Just no... Im not paying 100 dollars for it. Also, the community is one of the worst ive ever seen. One dissenting o...

Re: Spamming is lame
I remember watching a cast by Indrid that had Toilailee get 4 Tac squads (and was building a Fifth when the game ended) with sergeants (i think with sergeants) in a 3V3 on Tartarus Harbour a while back (15 September: 2013. Dawn of War 2: Faction Wars - Season 1 | Space Marines [vs] Orks | Game 1). H...

Re: Bugs/Issues Thread #2
It seems that the AI in 2.3 is considerably more incompetent and passive in comparison to 2.2, for example, the AI refuses to build a lot of the available units, and gets a lot less units than it can actually support. In 2.2, it is very common to drown up to your eyeballs in enemy AI units, but in 2...

Re: Removal of Plague of Undeath
During the Horus Heresy, and prior to that. There was 'one' Death Guard 'special forces' unit, it was called the "Deathshroud", basically, a terminator honour guard for the primarch armed with power scythes). There were also "Grave Warden Terminators", basically terminators with ...

Fluff wise, you could also easily make the argument that the 'original' plague marines, were all from the 14th legion. Who basically relied on large scale infantry assaults (said marines were also expected to be adequately trained in both melee and range)

The generosity of uncle anaesthesia
As you may all be aware by now. Uncle Anaesthesia has released the bulk of his models for public usage. However, due to my own incompetence with the finer intricacies of model editing, i would be most grateful were someone to release a simple SGA file that replaces the armour of the marines (for exa...

Re: Pre Heresy Emperor's Children DLC
I remember that there were mk4 and 5 leg armours already present in the game files. I also recall seeing mk3,4,5,6, helmets. And i definitely remember seeing fully functioning mk2 power armour with Emperor's Children decorations on it (Phoenix wing pinion?). Maybe ask the original maker? http://i108...

Re: Pre Heresy Emperor's Children DLC
No offence, but aren't your 'Pre Heresy' marines wearing power armour marks that are 'too modern'? Pre Heresy marines would probably only be wearing mk 1-4. Currently, they seem to be wearing 5 and 6. Other than that visual aesthetics nitpick.... i applaud your dedication.

chink as in hole or gap. i'm going to be honest though, my first thought was that it was some kind of slang from vietnam. Ehh what Smurf parts does Alpha Legion use? I think, the leg armour segments from the alpha legion custom set are the same as the ultramarine force commander. umm, the pauldrons, braces and torso segments from the alpha legion custom models appear to be from the ultramarine DLC (just slightly alter...

potential new armour for Imperial Fist DLC
this message is mainly aimed at the ummm, Elite Mod Officers. i currently have an SGA file containing Mk3 power armour (from last stand) that replaces the armour of most of the space marine troop units (tactical marine, devastator, assault marine, but no sergeants). Because it is thematically approp...

Does the plasma gun weapon option on the tactical squad seem slightly marginalised because recently the kraken bolts got quite a significant buff?
