Just go as an ork 3 sluggas or 3 hormas as nids and see how chaos cannot do anything about it and giggle on how stupid the whole situation seems. They were fine and performed they role well as a squad that can take enemy melees squads with support. Now even 2 tic squads wont do jack shit to sluggas...

Well, therein lies its problem.. The Abyss is way too stationary to deal any respectable damage to retreating units. Heck most times, units could just walk out of it's impact zone. Albeit the odd 1 or two would get pulled in.

Abyss does heavy melee, which is more effective against retreating units, .
lol retreating units.... I don't know much about Empyreal Abyss,...but I don't think that was an intentional design.

Can you explain this in layman terms?

I love how most enemy units now would get doomblasted and just keep carrying about their business. Heretics are no more a threat. I must say this has forced me to use Havocs and Noise marines more...I like that it has opened up my play-style. I cannot afford 25 power AC in t1 for his lack-luster ben...

Im my experiences, LC does well vs PC. Your sentinel is your saving grace in t1. PC cannot deal with sents effectively. TLS crashes in Retail version
I want to give the Necron Lord a play, but The Last Stand crashes in the retail version. It works fine when I play elite mod, but I cannot get any games because I suspect more people play TLS in retail.
I just re-installed the game and it still crashes. Any advice will help. Thanks

I dont get what are you argue about - all units in the game give 50 or more exp but the heretics, the only bleeding unit for chaos, should give less? Or you compare their effectiveness to rippers? The problem is, they die too fast to be worthy of any supporting role. Especially as a Plague Champion.... it's just brutal now... I always thought re-sizing was problematic to implement.

I agree, with the new changes and lower Heretic performance. It makes sense to reduce their exp contribution. Especially since their intent is to be fodder in the early game.

He becomes a very good bullet sponge, that has some good dps. Who can also teleport and retreat (a.k.a) unkillable.
