Re: Are we growing or shrinking?
This game was always really hard on new players, it is common to get curb-stomped in a very disheartening way and never want to come back. Something that I've never really liked about the game, and something I want to address, with full-force at one point in the future. I'm curious as to what chang...

Re: Does melee engaged units take less ranged dmg?
There was always something that I wondered, Is the ranged damage reduction applied on a model per model basis, or the squad as a whole so long as 1 member is actively engaged. Currently Cultists dying as they do make me think model to model. So what happends when asm attacks warriors, and warriors p...

Re: I wish to discuss ork leader upgrades.
Nobz add a ton of durability and damage to their respective squad. Just checked the codex and the Nob leaders for Sluggas/shootas, they have more damage output and health of 2 sluggas/shootas AND give the swamp'em/detection. Almost seems like a steal considering those huge health pools make them die...

GK is just a hornets nest when it come to balance, but hey, look at all that feedback. Hell, even I learned a lot, and my teachers swore I was impossible to teach. So thank you.

Re: 2.4 D-cannons
Dalakah, Really? D-cannons clip through terrain for me. Replays would definitely be appreciated. Side note, are you using attack ground or just letting it auto target, Because sometimes if you just tell it to target a squad it'll target models further away and not the center of the squad (Could be w...

This, I can support. 9 seconds between shots is an awfully long time.

Re: Paladins, Terminators and Strike Squad
Apologies, rather new to elite and I'd rather avoid prefacing every discussion with keep in mind army compositions. And yes codex that's exactly my point, their two different squads doing somewhat similar role. But there's certain things tacs do better in the end game (AV and SHI being t3 concerns) ...

Re: Paladins, Terminators and Strike Squad
Why consider the cost of the Justicar but not the Tac sergeant in the comparison? I was looking specifically at dps vs SHI, it would take the Justicar and the Psycannon to match a tac squads plasma gun. Pretty sure the Justicar is ~16 dps as is the Psycannon vs the 31 dps of the Plasma gun. I was j...

Re: Paladins, Terminators and Strike Squad
The justicar and psybolts ammunition and psycannon add up to 230 req 75 power and 5 pop, that's far more expensive than plasma guns (60 req 30power) for similar dps against SHI. Thats a 170/45 disparity, or a quarter of a dreadnaught. Tacs just scale cheaper i.e better. Please if my notions are wron...

oh oops haha that's suppose to say not easy that was a typo, my bad. I know its probably hard, I don't know exactly what is involved in creating a new faction but I'm sure its not an easy process :D Short list; Models, animations, voices, Ui text, Ui icons, A reason to incorporate the new unit, Tex...

Re: Paladins, Terminators and Strike Squad
Tactical Marines scale better for 2 reasons as far as I can see, plasma weapons give them a potential dps against heavy infantry and super heavy infantry that SS can't deal with as well come t2-t3. The rocket launcher does burst damage which is harder to account for. I think this is fine, SS trade i...

Re: For new players: starting squads?
The game is balanced around everybody having 1 starting unit.
And as you said
Seems balanced. Every race gets a pretty quick, low health capper.
And as you said
all used at first for the same role: capturing and/or fighting other starting squads and heroes.
