Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
Its not a super.. Vanilla Fex is worse than the dreadnought, fex has no ability out of the gate, no ranged, is one tier later and costs more. The upgrade makes them useful, not excel, not awesome, without upgrade fex is useless for that cost. A fex without an upgrade is not a fex, not for that cost....

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
Nids Bio-Plasma can wipe nearly full health squads and has become a core part of my HT play against some races. I do not think it needs a buff! If it's cost is to be reduced, I would be happy to see the damage go down a bit. That said, HT is the weakest of the nid commanders, so... eh? Bio plasma o...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
Vanilla Fex needs a lower base cost like 400r/100p, and then increase the upgrade costs instead to like 200r/100p each.
Same end price, just swapped around. Fex needs this because ppl dont want to play vanilla fex due to what usage you get for the cost.

IIRC only Hive tyrant, Terminator FC and Chaos lord are size medium, rest of the commanders are small, normal FC is small.

Re: Tyranid Economy
i think warriors being size medium is a balance consideration due to tyranids not having vehicles like other races do. because they only have the TG in T2 as a quasi-vehicle, AV weapons are much less effective and flexible than they are vs other races. having warriors and venom brood as size medium...

Re: Tyranid Economy
@Crewfinity tacs w/ sarge deal ~43.74 piercing dps, have 1050 HP (1567 effective HP vs piercing weapons) Your forgetting to nametion the benefit of low model and cover. Tacs shooting in the open is just plain stupid. Vs piercing dmg in light cover tacs would have 1.375*1567=2154 EHP In heavy cover 1...

Re: Tyranid Economy
Leap over cover is something Hormagaunts do while theyre under synapse. Got nothing to do with the upgrade, could be old school or mixed up with banshees upgrade. Also, you can use termagants or! Rippers, for buffing reverse synapse warriors. Hormas still got a "charge" before buying AG, i...

Re: Orks vs. Nids T1
Recently ive felt like i cant beat orks with my nids. Tex did trippel shootas and defended his power hard. Vs tripple sluggas, that was tough, i simply couldnt deal with all that melee, i lacked spore mines, wasnt prepared, before i could recover he destroyed my gen farm, and at that point the disad...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
Terminators should cost more while Nobs and Fexes should cost less? Please, enlighten us more I suggested to lower the vanilla Fex cost and increase the upgrade costs. Preferably just the first. Vanilla fex should cost less because its not a viable play option unupgraded as it is atm, its simply to...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
I would say SM economy is more stable/ robust thanks to low model, high hp and the posibility to easier make use of cover and get a wooping 37,5-70% more effective hp. Less bleed. Also advantage in garrison to have higher dmg output due to less models with higher dmg. And the less vulnerability to a...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
So you already did half of their hp's worth of damage, suppressed them so you can focus fire with termagaunts, and tied them up for as long as it takes to kill the spore mines? So what about next engagement? Or if that ork has a WB, or 2 sluggas, those force offs with spore mines will add up to a c...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
@Crewfinity at that point you should own half the map already due to nid mobility and the pressure that spore mines apply. they cost 5 power, that's nothing, and they can be built in time for early engagements. not to mention they can be spawned at any point after for the same small cost from capill...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
But seriously hive. spore mines are fine. in fact you only actually want them against swarmy races and wankers who camp buildings anyway. vs races like gk or space marines it is much more effective to go for a second horma and swarm the tac/strike / ist etc. They cant hurt heavy infantry much becau...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
you can buy spore mines out the gate for 100/5 and use them to win early engagements or pressure all through T1. grenades require an investment and hit the field much later, giving spore mines equal damage to grenades would be nuts. they're already amazing as is, especially since they can be built ...

Re: Patch 2.5 (WIP)
@Riku Sporemines cant really hurt heavy infantry though. And its not like its viable dmg vs vehicals, super heavy infantry either. ITS A "GRENADE". Spore mine detonation doesnt do "up to 260" grenade damage", thats why grenades doesnt do 1.0 dmg vs vehicals. Spore mines does...

Re: Tyranids Today's Menu
Because theyre like grenades and they cost insteed of beeing on cooldown? They arnt very effective vs low model, high hp units, its a legit increase.
Spore mines are interesting "grenades", that for sure atleast. Alot of tyranid stuff are, very interesting and different

Re: Varied Seer Council members (just a suggestion)
I dont know much about modding. But i guess it wouldnt be that hard to implement what your saying. I assume the cosmetic and effects are attatched to the ability/ weapon, not the other way around. Which should mean the cosmetics and fx are independant stand alone, but used by the other stuff.

Re: Tyranids Today's Menu
Thanks. Did some field testing: Neurothropes spirit leech only targets one model, i think the ability is minor described differently in game and in the codex. The wording could be missleading if your bad at reading (like meh), no biggie. As Riku said, melee resistance aura is always on, and a retrea...
